I have to ask,  how do you know what upgrade is compatible with what ship?

 

Is it asking too much to list what ships they are compatible with or the inverse,  list what ships they are not compatible with? I mean as a new player stupid little things like this make trying to get a grasp on this game more difficult. 

 

I won't even get into legendary modules, I know I have to grind from somewhere, but I might need a special key or a top secret handshake to be able to do that.  So if somebody could just point out the coal armory upgrades it would be great!

Just wanted to point out that the Smoke Generator Mod-1, is most useful on ships with crawling smoke since the emission time is much longer that the duration.

I don't think this is true any longer. Those missions to grind UU stopped being issued some time ago and any remaining uncompleted ones will be removed at the end of the year. UUs are now obtained by trading RB points in the armory.

Not any more.. WG moved them to the research bureau.

Thanks, forgot about that part - I got all the UUs I wanted before the change.  So, while you still need to get the ship to use the Upgrade, now you need to grind RB through resets or Daily Missions.

Basically, if you can use the consumable the upgrade modifies, you're golden.
