Found this pretty interesting, here's a pic of the point list for ships in the Warships Masters tournament. A team cannot exceed 100 points or 7 ships.

Point value is based on performance, rarity, popularity. There is no limit on ship classes.

This in turn leads to more creative lineups if you are so inclined.

Want to get 4  Bourgognes and a single Gearing? You are free to do so.Want to do a 5 Stalingrad lineup? Don't mind if you do.

I find this a pretty refreshing concept, able to give a chance to non meta ships to prove useful by having a spot in lineups due to their lower point values.

And this leads to the question on how CBs could look like with such a system in place. Of course you would have to include and assign point values to CVs, but all in all it could shake things up.

Just wanted to bring this up as many don't watch these tournaments, but they have valuable ideas.

As fun and hilarious as that would be, there's a 7 ship limit.

It'll be interesting to see how the points system is adjusted after this round.

I am curious about that.  There are people that say a Goliath eats a Petro, but a Petro is worth almost 1.5 Goliaths.

Smaland has been a popular choice currently because it only costs 11 points.   And the Kleber/Marceau combination in the Rain Semi win allowed for 2 Goliaths and a Bourgogne to be chosen.  In that battle, the Rain DD play was pivotable.

The key to this is to find the most undervalued ships and milk them. If I were in this competition and had access to any ship on this list with any build, I would use the following list:

Grosser Kurfurst x2 Full secondary build

Minotaur x3 (1xradar, 2x unique upgrade smoke mod 1 build)

Yueyang x2 (Radar build)

The strategy would be vision control to advance the Kurfursts to close range via the psuedo crowling smoke of the smoke Minotaurs. The Yueyangs and the radar Minotaur provide the vision.

Congrats to RAIN, winners over TWA.

Some really good games, including one that swung on a half-second.
