The idea that being spotted by one opponent means the rest have targeting-quality info, even from radar, is ridiculous.   Particularly in smoke or from hydro.  Other opponents should get lower quality information, at least a 15% additional dispersion of fire from non-spotting ships.

Tend to agree this game isn't in an era of datalinks, ATR, ATID, machine learning or reactionary hip shots from Self Defense systems.  Hard to pass accurate data of targeting quality. unless ALSO eyes on.  I do get for game purposes the need to expedite target acquisition and at least making some reasonable SA (situational awareness) happen but.... there should be painful lags, gaps, drops, mis-cues (speed, heading, rate of turn) inserted.  Is that a "red" ship or a "green" ship confusion ought to exist.  Early radar didn't come with PPI features and even the early versions of that weren't so hot.

What and how big of an error to introduce?  Dunno exactly but it ought to be loads of confusion to re-establish your basic "picture" after the storm front passes even if just mist.  And not just at top tiers.

Good idea. And maybe someday they will address the fallacy that radar can see through islands, too! If they want to radar us, make them get their butts out in the open instead of spamming us from a hiding place!

I completely agree with this idea.  A dispersion penalty would handle this quite well.  Another idea could be that the spotter identify 2 or 3 team mates to whom their radio-room can send quality information, and those are affected less.  Or have it as a cool-down driven ability and share some of the benefits of damage done when you're the "quality spotter" ship.
