Is anyone else turned off by the Nagato?

I don't know how to explain it well, but after several days of grinding up the tiers of the battleship line, I am shocked by how weak the nagato is. Anyone disagree/agree?

I wouldn't say that it is weak, but it does kind of feel like a downgrade from the Fuso.

Better off just reading all the other threads about the Nagato  I'm sure Higgle doesn't want to prove all over again in a 5th thread that the Nagato is the choice of Pro's.

Well it makes sense that you would assume I dont know how to use it and sink over and over again, but just so you know I'm actually pretty good at using it.

I find it to be exactly the same as the Fuso....When it works, it works absurdly well, where I can do constant citadel hits....

 

But when she dosn't want to work, I'm lucky to do 1k per shell. (average)

Nope, Fuso is easily top of its tier bracket and could use some more balancing. Nagato is pretty much perfectly balanced imo.

The Nagato isn't bad, just the Kongo and Fuso are so good for their tiers that the Nagato is overshadowed by them.  It's not a bad ship, from what I've seen it's pretty good.

Nagato is about skill not luck that's why.  I strongly encourage you to click on Higgle and read his content about the Nagato he says it pretty well.  He's a sharp guy.

many think she's weak because she's slower, her 16 inch guns are fewer and take longer to load and aim compared to Fuso's and Kongo's 12 and 14 inch guns.  Due to these little quirks she's is one of the more "disliked"  among inexperienced players. however in the right hands she can really dish out some damage!

I have to agree 100%, however, I am liking the Amagi, just wish they would SOON fix the desync issues, though I have to admit, I did have some epic matches with the Nagato, tho they were few...I sold the Nag asap, but kept the Fuso in the port :-)

Nagato was always temperamental.  When she is good, there's nothing better (maybe equal, but not better).  When she is having "one of those days", well it is time to get into something else fast.  On her best days, she will sink any and everything without a hitch or a hiccup.  The problem is that she is not consistent, she doesn't have "average" days, she is either on point or completely out of kilter.  Or at least that is how I remember her being.

Guys need to learn to play.

The nagato is a good ship, much better than the fuso in skilled players. Skilled players do not rely on spray and pray.

Equally the amagi is a crazily good ship with the same guns as the nagato. A good amagi player can take on an average yamato player and win.
