77 [BONKS] Kanak_Unconquerable_hero [BONKS] Members 322 posts 20,298 battles Report post #4 Posted October 28, 2020 The old Halloween game modes were definitely more fun. WG should bring them back as 2020 game mode is pretty boring. The 2016 and 2017 game modes were repeated every year and idk why not this year. 2019 was pretty nice too. But WG why break away from the tradition of repeating 2016 and 2017 when they were fun and you guys already did an outstanding job on those years.

810 [SAINT] Jolly_Rodgered [SAINT] Members 1,449 posts 17,748 battles Report post #7 Posted October 28, 2020 I enjoyed the Torpedo mode and the space mode but I loved the Halloween Missions. The new 'key' mode is extremely boring for some reason and I'm not sure why. Maybe it's the whole kill everyone including your own team to get the key that's doing it, not sure. Regardless, I'm already tired of it especially considering I'm not earning any credits or XP. Plus the campaign reward is the Slowkohoma which thus far does not look all that promising. I second bringing back the escorting Transylvania missions. At least they had style and a Halloween theme. This 'key' mission is just meh.

I Should update a post in another Topic on this but The lack of xp, elite commander xp, And credits make it tough to justify spending much time on this

I really fail to see what the issue is supposed to be here, especially since implementation of the old Halloween gamemodes shouldn't be that complicated. 224 [AZUR1] Lancelot0001 Members 156 posts 4,108 battles Report post #10 Posted October 28, 2020 The key point is: We think the onld mode is fun . It doesn't mean WG also think it's fun. Many players got T10 perm camo, and millions of elite captain XP for free; that is a pure money lose for WG. Because WG assume us will buy those stuff anyway if we can't earn them. With that condition in mind, you will see why this event comes, just like other grindy and stinky events.

I do NOT see these Halloween ops as fun. To me, they're a waste of development resources that would be better spent on the regular game, like say in developing new operations or refurbishing the old, but not in use since the CV rework operations.

I "might" get enough collection pieces to get a mediocre premium. No credits, no ECXP, can't div with my buddies unless we get lucky on a sync drop. Just drive around and shoot stuff, and that's fine up to a point.

I said previous I’d be laser focused on getting her, but if doing so involves playing in a mode I detest? Then that may be enough to convince me to give up on Okie. 39 minutes ago, contag10n said: No credits, no ECXP, can't div with my buddies unless we get lucky on a sync drop. Wasn’t aware of this previously, but don’t find it surprising. Another reason to ignore the mode. 39 minutes ago, contag10n said: Just drive around and shoot stuff, and that's fine up to a point. Kind of what I do in the regular game? Perhaps it’s an issue with the Death Match format; but last year’s Filth Grab and the mode this year I consider to be boring as hell; or at least, incapable of arousing any kind of interest in them, in me. Its a shame they only keep the maps for temporary things. i know they arent really designed for play, and some would object to having these maps show up in circulation but it would be cool to see a "Map of the month" that was one from past events. 797 Moggytwo Members 411 posts 20 battles Report post #20 Posted October 29, 2020 Halloween is primarily a test bed for possible new additions to the game. Hence we had the sub version a couple of years ago, and based on that data and positive feedback they decided to implement subs into the game as a permanent class. It's a pretty useful opportunity for WG to large scale test new things while having the double benefit of being a Halloween event, and I have no doubt they get a ton of data from it that they simply couldn't get if they just put a new mode on the PTS. The only reason why they'd repeat something is if they have nothing new they want to test that year.

No XP, not a fan of battle royale, every battle is the same crap. The price of the rewards is so high, that I needed to spend more time in those battles then it is worth. Plus: it's some fantasy camo. Yeah, I know I can disable them. I had more fun, watching the AFK training of my new horse in another game 0/10 will not play again

Happened with a lot of mechanics and game modes. Subs started like this. This is not about you (and me) enjoying the game, it's about being the guinea pigs or testers for free. Or at least as cheap as they can. While in previous Halloween events you where having fun in a quite small map, playing "with" your teammates, even division or clan mates, now you are playing in a huge map, "against" everyone. I've played 2 battles, the first one I was killed by another player with torps (Valkirye has none) in less than 2 minutes. In the other one, I played 20 minutes until I got a key and was able to exit but remained as an spectator, the battle lasted 25 minutes. In the second battle I fighted 3 monsters and 2 humans. Is was really boring. To make things worse all "prizes" are behind a wall of grinding.
