Install pingplotter (its free) and trace your route to the server and see where the problem is, Most of the time the problem is happening before you even get to the wows servers and only your isp can fix the issue then.

This was my last freeze-up screen....

Filed a ticket..  They said it was in my router at 10.0.0.1 ....  Um..  Well...   They said I was losing 100% of my packets between this computer and there...  --as I look at my yellow 3 foot patch cable between the two.

Yes..  I know how to PING...

If you use pingplotter you can see each hop and see where the problem is like this, traces all the hops this is my connection to wows

A connection issue may very well exist between you and the server, or your router maybe dropping packets (did you try restarting the router?).

I was having a problem like this recently, my router and cable modem were not the problem. Ping and tracert commands would work just fine. What it turned out to be something related to a reverse filter. After my ISP did a line diagnostic they replaced the part and the issue(s) went away.

It might be worth having the ISP come check things out anyways.

I'm having high pings randomly today and yesterday. Its making the game unplayable for me.

Running Pingplotter to login1.worldofwarships.com

Shows an average of 30.3 ping (Running this on 2nd monitor next to game). Game shows a ping of 400+ ms

@EraserNZ1 You could simply use the "tracert" command that has been part of the Windows operating system since for as long as I can remember:

C:\Users\Maulkin>tracert www.worldofwarships.com

Tracing route to worldofwarships.com [162.213.61.115]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

Also you are only tracing to their website, which is not the same as the game server.  You should consult with this list:

https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Servers

In my case I think I should be tracing to wotna3.login.wargaming.net (92.223.56.16) but this does not reflect the network issues as it is just a sample and it appears this ping issue is fluctuating:

C:\Users\Maulkin>tracert wotna3.login.wargaming.net

Tracing route to wotna3.login.wargaming.net [92.223.56.17]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

My issue seems to come and go.

I can be fine for a couple hours, then it gets bad for like 30 minutes then back to normal.

Glad to see I am not the only one with PING being off the wall. My game too is unplayable for the last 26 hrs. WoWS says there isn't a problem, my internet company swears there isn't a problem anywhere in my line. Run ping plotter... there's a problem.

Unfortunately. This is not a WOWS issue, its a local network issue..

For those of you having problems, you might have to use a VPN to bypass those god awful LAN.

As far as WOWS is concern, server is up and running. No issues from those currently playing in the server.

Why does everyone let WoWs off the hook for this? Its not just a few users.  What is the common thread? Wows servers. PING check earlier today on the NA East and West indicated latency issues 250 + the first check and 1500+ when a ran it again.  I can run several games 100fps and 30-35ms Ping then next few stupid ping variances. Have not had this issue in last 9 months and use same service and equipment.  Everything checks out on my end. So what gives?

Because there is no evidence its WOWS servers... Iam on now and no one is AFK or have connect issue.

Until someone proves with evidence and not conjecture its the WOWS servers. Then will be critical of them.

Last night from about 19:25 until 21:47 EST the high ping and freeze frames in game were just stupid, never had it that bad before. Pretty sure from all the reports on Down Detector were correct at the time.

Running a trace route for me at least looks like there is a problem going into Chicago on some routes.  If I worked at wows I'd be calling a someone around Chicago.  It's not their servers for sure.

may also have something to do with WoW's categorizing us, breaking us into groups. People who will get login rewards(Spenders), People who dont get rewards(Non-Spenders). Now, moving to pay to stay connected?

Nope, we do not segment players into "groups" and everyone has the same access into the server.

However, just as was stated in several posts earlier, WG does not control how you connect to our server.

Best thing to do besides run a PingPlotter is run a WGcheck report to isolate where the problem lies.

Once it is created, send it over the Support team in a ticket so they can review and find out what is causing FPS spikes.

I'm having the same problem all day today.  There's no packet loss when pinging the server. You don't need pingplotter to check the routing. Just enter the following in CMD   TraceRT www.worldofwarships.com. The last two hops time out which means it's a network issue at the server end.
