The more time the developers have to work on it, the better the game will be. Alpha testing is supposed to start later this year. The developers have stated repeadetly that they expect a short alpha period so we can probably expect closed beta within a couple months of alpha and open beta a few months after that. We're all impatient, but posting threads like this won't do anything to boost developer morale and make them work faster.
