Brainstorming improvements

Got any ideas on how to improve the game in general? This is just a general game discussion.

What I hope to see someday is a mod that at the click of a mouse button makes your ship appear green to the opposing team.  This allows you to then sail unapposed into its backfield where you unleash h*ll upon them.

I got the idea from the final battle in Master & Commander.

What you got?

More play, less talk?  Oh wait, that's forum improvement. :Smile_trollface:

Get rid of in-battle chat and it'd affect battles.

I'll just wait for the "remove CV" replies.

Me, an intellectual: add LHAs (Vietnam war era) with helis , rest of line escort carriers that can either strike or give planes to the main CVs or antisubmarine warfare

I've always wanted rank seasons to be as follows:

1) Randomly assigned STOCK ships. You have no idea what ship you will draw, but on the plus side it would come with a no-skill commander.
2) You could use any signals you felt like using, knowing of course you might draw a ship where the signal held no value.
3) Every other or every third rank was a safe rank - cause let's be honest, this could prove to be a very hard time to rank out.

I've also thought oh what the heck - stock ships, stock commanders, signals permitted. You chose your ship but that's it - everything else is stock, stock stock.

The goal being for Ranked Season to be as about as fair a battle as it can be.

You could go even further - one class battles. All ships of one particular type only. Imagine a bunch of carriers going after each other... or bbs... could be fun.

But my really good visions for the game is a game that's sorted out, has a fast UI and really is settled as to the "just one more tweak" syndrome.

Oh - I'd also like to see a propeller trail in the water from ships. based on their type, to indicate the ship passed this way.

I'm looking forward to some ASW capabilities for CVs and other prime targets.

I would totally like to see this as a special event, but I'm worried that there would be a massive increase in players ragequitting the game when they land in a CV.

I'd like the RNG to be someone what level. Time and again I see games where it's a complete one sided blow out. Not even close. I've been on teams where regardless of what ship I sail, I am absolutely hammering ships for big damage. Then I'll get the games where my team is getting annihilated. In those games my shells hit for minimum damage or drop randomly around the targeted ships.

I've been here since beta. I'm not the greatest of captains. I do know how to aim and what im doing. The RNG is laughable in the extremes I've been part of time and again over and over for the past year or so.

So no wargamming, I won't be spending any more real money. I will continue to become a very casual player which ultimately will see players like myself leave the game altogether. Shame because for the first few years I highly enjoyed this game and it was rewarding. Now its an exercise in frustration with all the power creep and premium ships. Makes my line researched ships mostly unplayable.

Heres I goes with these ideas....

MM with provision to NOT play CV and SUBS.

Remove Detonation completely.  - That will make players last longer

All ships have Heal capability - That will at least help to survive and play more fun.

Right mouse button manual aims/fires AA just like your left mouse shoots

Front/rear independent aiming of turrets and locks to stay in position, On a BB this would be a great defence.

Manual aim and fire of secondaries with capability to aim at sea level torpedoes. At least you have a chance to survive if your good at aiming.

Airplanes should be more realistic and not be so herky jerky but smooth in animation.

Well thats ALL for now.....
