They didn’t say they would directly follow the US BB split, but would be in test this year (from Anniversary stream)

'In test this year' could still mean it'll be March before we see them.

There is no such thing as Italian Battleships,  nor any Italian ships actual ot paper...

Otherwise,  a line release of Battleships would have been out before RU paper ships...

Hopefully, they'll be pretty decent. A BB line with access to SAP and crawling smoke would be pretty epic.

Just as long as they are not as bad as that piece of <censored> Roma.

Here is a list of battle ships in ww2

And yes there would have to be a few paper ships.  Note almost ever line in WOWS has a paper ship in it.

Actually there were several classes built between 1910 and 1912, some of which served into WW2.  Then there were the three Littorio class ships.  With various upgrades there are plenty of ships to create a line.

They would still need a few paper ships to bridge the World War One and World War Two designs and for the top tiers ships.

Missed the jokes about the 4th biggest fleet of that era still only have a cruiser line, while a wanabe fleet like the soviet got 5 lines.

Why does every fleet require a top tier ship?  I seriously doubt that the Pan-American fleet would field a ship of that quality.  If they only rate a Tier VIII ship, so be it.

If it weren't for Paper Ships, most of the Ship Lines in the game not from the IJN, USN, RN would struggle even to fill a Tier VIII spot.  They may even have gaps below high tiers.

If we stuck to "being real" with actual ships that entered service:

Yamato would be the only Tier X Battleship in the game.

Midway & Audacious would be the only Tier X Carriers.

Des Moines, Worcester, Minotaur would be the only Tier X Cruisers.

Italian Cruiser Line would end with Tier VII Zara.

German Cruiser Line would end with Tier VIII Hipper-class.  Tier VII Yorck never existed.

IJN BB Line would have a massive gap between Tier VII Nagato & X Yamato.

German DD Line would end at Tier VIII.

French Cruiser Line would end at Tier VII Algerie.

German CV Line would never exist.

RU BB Line would end at Tier IV.

Etc.

And deny ourselves the glory of a tier X Il Duce?  (preference to forcing a Girls und Panzer collab via using its Il Duce, Anchovy, as a captain).

Several Allen M. Sumner and Gearing class DDs were transferred to Pan-American nations. They can field an entire line of DDs. I agree with your general point though. There is no reason that every line has to reach T10. They could field short lines of Pan-European cruisers in particular and Pan-American cruisers and BBs. They'd mostly halt about T7 at highest.

1047 preliminary designs would make excellent T9 / T10 supercruisers and even T8 wouldn't be a stretch for actually built-in-steel Dutch CL.

I'm hoping so, I've got a particular soft spot for 1047, as I know you do as well.

You missed  my sarcastic humor.

Since release out of Beta, there were floods of Italian Battleships threads.

One person actually did huge write-ups and videos.

I fell in love wth them so much I bought Roma on the first day....

Was a sarcastic post....

Considering how many clamoring for Italian bbs from day one, only to have to wait 5+ years is sacrilegious.

I'm from closed beta..

You can't imagine how the first 2 years of forums were filled with Italian Battleship hopes and dreams...

To think RU paper bbs beat real life Italian battleship line into the game is a shame.

Not necessarily, they may have had issues with WoT, (where they went heavy on real tanks at the start, which made most later releases paper) that they wanted to avoid here.

IOW, space out the real stuff, so people that are concerned with whether ships are real or paper have things to look forward to.
