  • AP shell armor penetration was increased.

Yeah. This needed to happen. Good change.

Slight not-noticable-in-general-gameplay buff to Vermont, slight nerf to Petropavlovsk ... Both probably necessary, but the deck armor buff to Hizen is the most notable to me.

My question is as to why it was 25mm in the first place.

Hawkins: Now slightly better than Mount Garbaggio

Implacable: the Best T8 CV gets buffed, ok

Riga, Petro: RIP stealth radar, you’re only strength when facing smart people

Italians: I’ve never burst out laughing reading anything before until I saw that, thx WG

Vermont: barely noticeable, but does Vermont really need any buffs?

Belfast: Fair enough

OK: who knew having worse pen than a Nevesky or DM is horrible for a BB

FDR: still gonna cause pain (also, with this patch having a T10 CV clan season, Would it be safe to assume FDR arrives just in time for next patch?)

Hizen: only way 25mm deck was possible is if someone sneezed entering numbers

that buff to Vermont may be minuscule, but with how slow she is, she can use all the accuracy she can possibly get with having a 24km max range

Stop nerfing engine boost! If MN DD's or whatever ships are getting too much advantage, nerf them specifically rather than making a huge portion of the player base regret all the coal they sank into these mods!

She is in the lower end, almost not played. Not sure how she is the best when she only beat Lexington, Saipan and GZ

I wasn't overly impressed with Implacable. If anyone needs the buff it was Indomitable.

Vermont buff - nice

RU CA Nurf - nice

Oklahoma buff - sorely needed

No clue what is up with the Italian boats...but okay!

FDR - this thing should never have come into existence, but okie dokie!

So now the FDR has officially had it's rockets nerfed by 20% before release, the torps still do less damage and fan out in an intimadating but ultimately slow and wide fan where each torp does even less than the already questionable USN plane torps.  Oh, and they still are as slow as biplanes with minutes long replenishment times.

1800x60 (effectively hitting half rockets for 1/3 dmg if they behave like other rockets...assuming the dispersion circle isn't LARGER)
now
1650x52
Also less pen and less fire than the Midway

Remind me again what is good about the FDR?  Literally the only thing that is any better are the bombs.  You get to drop 8 instead of 6....a bargain for the low price of 30k steel!

Has it ever occurred to WeeGee that the same people who complain about CVs are the same ones who test it and then create long lists of recommended nerfs?

Probably not...

...at least, the data continues to suggest a problematic disconnect.

the only thing that'd help Indomitable was if they gave it a 100% fire chance, because thats what the majority of that things damage comes from any other buff wouldnt do jack for it

The best? Who in their right mind thinks its the best at tier 8? Every other cv is better Enterprise,Kaga,Lexington,Indomitable it is by far the biggest pile of $#*+ at tier 8 cv wise. Worse torp damage, crap rockets, and not great bombers when facing tier 10 good luck to you.

Its the best T8 CV because the worse a CV is, the better it is for the game as its less likely to cause cancer

Almost as much cancer as some of the player base is causing. Take the game for what it is not for what it was. Don't like it move on. Best of luck in your battles.

Yeah. This needed to happen. Good change.

Question is, is the pen increase actually notable?  If it remains worse than Texas'/B Hull NY's AP there's no point in getting Oklahoma.

Some of the same people. WG knows who they are (especially since they canned one of the CC's for it), and I'm pretty sure that those are the ones whose opinions on CV are used as toilet paper and then dumped in Chernobyl.

Right, bit of a list, so here we go.

(V CA) Hawkins: Not really sure where this goes. Half a second on, say, USN 152mm guns is a big thing. On 190mm guns? Not so much. Hawkins still has the problem of having 7 separate 190mm barrels where everyone else has linked barrels with either a greater caliber or a faster reload.

(VIII CV) Implacable: Eh, sure? Implacable has always been on the worse end of the T8 CV spectrum, and while a buff is nice, it's nowhere near enough to alleviate her issues with damage output.

( X CA) Petropavlovsk: This was a bit of an idiotic nerf, but probably one that made more sense. The Radar might have a 12 kilometer range, but it has a really short duration. It's more of a scare tool than anything.

( IX CA )Riga: The gun changes I agree with, since that was a horrid reload even for a Tier IX Soviet railgun cruiser. The stealth, well, it falls in the same category of the Petro's stealth nerf.

Engine Boost Mod:  *Realises that his Kleber has Engine Boost Mod*

*breathes in-* REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

* AHEM * Moving on

( VIII CL ) Belfast 1943: Probably warranted. Belfast really does lack for durability, given that it's an Edinburgh without a heal, and an extra charge of smoke goes a long way with helping it stay out of sticky situations

( X BB ) Vermont: An uptick of 0.05 sigma is a small sum, but hey, anything goes.

( VI DD ) Leone: First of all, the Leone returns, havent seen this thing in a while. Second, why the reload nerf? I mean, 8 guns is a heavy broadside, sure, but it's 120mm guns, not French 139mm guns

( IX DD ) Paolo Emilio: Still not sure where they want to go with this ship... But hey, It's now the fastest DD in the game.

( V BB ) Oklahoma: This is a much needed buff, given that the original penetration was WORSE than that of some heavy cruisers. How much it was buffed, I don't know, but here's to hoping that it's better

( X CV ): F.D Roosevelt: Less rockets means jack when you still throw out rockets like a machine gun.

( IX BB ): Hizen: This was a bug. Nothing to note of with this

Even better, the shell arcs on her make US 5in38s look like railguns

I think they changed the ballistics, so it's no longer terrible. The old Leone was the one that made the USN 5"/38 guns look like railguns. The shells would literally float into outer space before landing
