Massachusetts does too, on her B turret. I don't know when exactly the ships picked up their respective illustrations, but they definitely establish a real-world precedent for the practice on ships as well as aircraft. I remember cleveland has a kill tally on the right side of her forward superstructure of imperial japanese flags idk if she still has them by default still. With the possible exception of airplane period correct nose art, anything else will just be troublesome for me in the long term. What if WG gave out art with Mr Conway wearing just a towel and him saying: "Anyone see the towel?" (Think about that hard). LOL 😆 A player having such art on say a DD might get every cruiser opening up on the DD player. Mainly for fear the towel might fall off. What about having your "teabagging" emblem there, same place as the coat of arms on Spee, just maybe a little bigger. Sure, nose art was for aircraft, but a lot of the different camo we have for ships pretty much blows tradition out of the water anyway.....
