109 MetalMouse Beta Testers 625 posts 4,144 battles Report post #1 Posted April 4, 2015 (edited) This is where you have to shoot WAY ahead of your intended target and have the shots land as if they are going into the water in front of the target and THEN you actually damage the target, cause if you shoot actually AT the target and your shots all LOOK like they are landing ON the target, you actually miss the target altogether and do ZERO damage. This doesn't happen with all ships, at every distance, only with the ships that are firing at max range it seems. the closer you are the more accurate the game seems to be. If you shoot directly at a target, if it is moving, you will miss. This is why you need to aim ahead of said target with a distance determined by the speed of said target. With DDs, you need to aim farther ahead than you do against BBs as BBs are slower.

Very confused.(OP pls don't take offense, not trying to attack you, just confused) The clients don't sync up to the server properly right now (at least for a lot of people). This means that where a ship visually appears on you're screen isn't where it actually is in the game world as far as the server is concerned. Ships can be half to even a full ship length ahead of where they appear to be at long ranges, and it complicates leading targets, as you have to lead much more than expected. Also shells can visually pass through the ships you fire at (on your screen) so people will be confused since they think they should have hit.

Pure luck though. Usually just use google. I just remember reading the several dozen threads and posts on desynch unfortunately. I wonder what it's like at times, and what is causing it for the people that have it.
770 [TXGUN] donaldEpott [TXGUN] Members 4,596 posts 13,562 battles Report post #11 Posted April 4, 2015 For one gun fire from an enemy sometimes looks to be a half to a full ship length ahead of where they are visualy. second is my gun fire will land what looks like dead center of the target and I get no hits. But if I aim so the shells hit ahead of where the ship appears at the time they hit then I get hits. that is what it looks like. When I get hits looks like i am shooting the water ahead of the ship. I just lead the targets more.

If it was an issue with only the severs, than everyone should see it, unless it is an issue there, and only shows up with bad internet.

My internet is good and yet I seem to have it. 30megs down & 7megs up. Now, for me, there's one hops that has 100% packet loss 100% of the time and has been like that for at least a week straight.
