looks like a T9 at most.

N3, on the other hand, that could make a T10

But the N3 a battle ship not a battle cruiser

3x3 16inch guns

32knts and 14inch belt armour pretty good for a BC at t10

That makes it an Iowa class with terrible gun layout so T9. Yes the G3 has another 50mm of belt but as the Russians show heavy belts above a certain point makes very little difference to how squishy you are.

In game the real measure of squishyness is your deck/hull plating which really needs to be over 38mm so you don't get eaten by HE and can angle against 16" guns.

Honestly tier 10 is being ambitious. Yes the belt is impressive and the speed is suitable, but only 9 16-inchers will be hurting. When you got the Montana and Conqueror with 12 16-inch guns and everyone else having bigger guns. A N3 is tier ten might work actually, 9 18-inch guns making it bring one more gun than the Ohio and Thunderer with a reduction in speed could be good. Also a thicker belt but eh, at the ranges we're at, that mean little and the extremities are at WG's mercy, however little that may be. The Nelsons were just scaled down G3's and they're at tier 7.

And even a G3 at tier 8 or 9 with a N3 at tier 10 would have to be a WG vision of a modernization as these as designed will be lacking in the AA department.

Yes, however, 32 knots and 14in belt armor is, in fact, not good at all at T10

Because we have ships like Republique that go faster with a thicker belt and with better guns.

But That a BB and I am talking about BC. G3 is a battle cruisrer IE.  Yoshino 7 inch belt armour.  Stalingrad  7 inch belt Armour Puerto Rico 10 inch belt armour.

But you know that traditionally BCs in this game are labeled as battleships, right? Those ships you named, BCs called 'supercruisers' are cruisers in the game. Hence why the they are armed with 310 mm/50, 305 mm/61, and 305 mm/50 guns respectably, not 406mm guns on a G3, which is the same on battleships of that tier.

We might argue that the "Battlecruiser' Scharnhorst with it's 283 mm L/54.5 guns, but that's at tier 7. To make a G3 a 'battlecruiser' (in game terms) at that tier would mean you're probably giving this ship the same dispersion as the 305mm guns from the Stalingrad despite being over 100mm bigger and and over 10,000 long tonnes heavier in displacement, all at the cost of a few knots and piss poor AA for the tier?

In which case you have a 16 inch gunned cruiser with supercruiser dispersion, probably a better reload than other 16 inch guns, and all for a low armor belt and little AA if it isn't a WG modernization. Which you either make into a Champaign/Slava sniper ship or just a flat out better battleship than the actual battleships, from a design 20 years older than they are.

Like I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a G3 at tier 8, preferable with moderised AA, as a ""Battleship"" (again, in the terms that the game understands Battlecruisers) as it matches that. Look at the North Carolina, at tier 8. It has the same gun load-out, 3x3 16 inch guns, 4 knots slower, 2 inch thinner belt, just better AA. Again, maybe even tier 9, as it can be compared as a slower Iowa, but at tier 10, the Montana. Only 4 knots slower, has an extra turret, 2 inch better belt, much better AA. And this doesn't even begin to bring in Yamato.

And yes, I know, it's not a battleship like those, but the game won't make that distinction. And really the role it will have is the same. Shoot at Battleships and Cruisers. Which all other ships will be better at for the most part unless you actually build it like a Supercruiser, which with those guns are too good.

There's no distinction for battlecruiser and battleship in this game.

Yoshino, Stalingrad and Puerto Rico are not battlecruisers. They are defined as "large cruisers".
They lack a battleship belt thickness as well as gun size compared to the year they were supposedly made.

There are already a few "battlecruisers" in this game and they are all in the battleship category.

The G3 is basically a fast battleship before fast battleships were a thing.  HMS Hood was almost there, but not quite.  The G3, on paper, as presented to Jane's Fighting Ships, is just a big battlecruiser, but under the armor scheme?  That's a battleship that no one in 1930 would be able to outfight if they could catch it.  Amagi would and Lexington would be able to catch up and do some damage with their 16" guns, but G3 has the armor to shrug it off long enough to rip those battlecruiserd apart.

And N3.... comparable to Vermont with trade offs.

You are right they are not in game called battle cruiser, they are marked as heavy or super heavy cruisers.  They should have ever be marked as Battle cruisers though.

Yes there is some Battle ships in game that are Battle cruisers Hood being one of them Kongo being another.

here is the definition of a battle cruiser:

The battlecruiser or battle-cruiser was a type of capital ship of the first half of the 20th century. They were similar in displacement, armament and cost to battleships, but differed slightly in form and balance of attributes. Battlecruisers typically had slightly thinner armour and a lighter main gun battery than contemporary battleships, installed on a longer hull with much higher engine power in order to attain greater speeds.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battlecruiser

Alot of terminology is based on country and or treaty at the time.

There is no definition of a Super Cruiser there are heavy cruiser and light cruisers, exe.  I dont know where people keep getting that name from?
