As a Canadian the lack of attention the 3rd largest fleet in WWII gets from this game is appalling! let alone  Australia, New Zealand, and the rest of the Commonwealth Navies

recently while playing the 9.8 PTS   I noticed the Commonwealth tech tree line has disappeared!

Why!

Are WOWS Russian overlords upset by superior Canadian hockey skills and this is payback?

No, they are preparing to launch a complete line, including the Canadian Battleship Clamato and the repurposed Italian BB Bloody Caesar.

There's no tech tree line as such for Commonwealth ships, they're all premiums.

Premiums rarely show up for sale in PTS, so they don't show up as a tab.

It's been that way in past PTS iterations too.  I would not take it as a sign that they're somehow going to be removed from the game or anything.

That said, I'd love to see a Commonwealth tree with a full line of DDs and a full line of cruisers.

The Russian appreciation of Canadian Ice-Hockey might be a factor, though, eh?

But if @Tom_Greg is correct, it will be nice for Canada to have it's own tech-tree line.

It would be good if Canada had a line of destroyers and cruisers.  It would be good and proper for the game to include full Italian lines of destroyers and battleships in addition to cruisers.

Frankly, I would prefer that those be introduced to the game before we have more branch splits and the like...

Technically you may be correct, but in terms of things bigger than an ASW escort the IJN, KMS, MN, and RM were all bigger. So let's not get too worked up.

Also most of the commonwealth ships were just British warships in a different navy, so in terms of gameplay they're kind of boring. Not to take away what the commonwealth nations did in WWII, but in terms of gameplay I doubt we'll see anything near a full tech tree. A couple of premiums is probably as close as it will get.

Another reason to put subs in their own modes and bring in DEs, CEs, bot transports to escort or attack, specific ops, etc, etc.

If they ever add Frigates and Corvettes into the game Canada will be a force to be reckoned with.

That's the opportunity they're missing my forcing subs sideways into the main gameplay, instead of expanding into new modes with openings for new ships.

Naming the ships Clamato and Bloody Caesar wasn't a dead giveaway?

I was trying to come up with more...HMCS Poutine anyone?

^^^^This right here pretty much sums it up. Not taking anything away from what the CN did for the war effort, but its not like Canada fielded a battle fleet. Most of the ships that weren't outright RN transfers would be what, t1-t3?

Personally, I've always felt that the Commonwealth tree should be merged into the British tree.  This would have the advantage of allowing the Commonwealth premiums to be used for cross training by RN captains and visa versa.  It might also help sell more Commonwealth premiums because of this minor training benefit enhancement.

I don't think the Commonwealth tree should be merged with the RN tree, rather I do think the Commonwealth should have it's own DD and CL lines, but that the Captains of these ships should be interchangeable with RN ships like they were in real life, at least from RN to a Commonwealth ship. And, yes, Canadian contributions to the war have earned them a line of their own.

There is no Commonwealth *tech tree*.  Only a few premiums.

Don't forget some CVEs if you want sub hunter groups.

There were three additional carriers in this class:

HMCS Le Newfy

HMCS  Le Maple Syrup

HMCS Le Beaver

A fifth, Le Hockey Puck, had her keel laid in late 1944 but was cancelled.
