WG, it is time to buff the Pommern or make both teams have the same number of them

Cuz having to many of them in your team is an instant defeat. Either the guy rushing in to use his secondaries and die instantly or he sits in the back and can't do anything because of absolutely awful guns. 
WG has this weird idea that because german ships have above average secondaries, the main guns need to completely useless, but they forget the player has to dump everything, from a 19 skill captain to all the upgrades, towards making the meme secondaries semi viable.

Ehh, it's just cause she just released.  Pretty soon those that can't make her work will keep her benched except for missions or the like.  Those that continue to play her will be those that make anything sing and there will be calls to nerf her ;-)

For me, she's likely to be a port queen except for dusting snowflake missions or the like.

She has the same fire resistance as any other tier IX BB.

They won't ever buff a german battleship simply because they are too popular, Pommern has been released a week ago and it already has 27k battles in NA. For the magical spreadsheet it's a success, despite you know... every german main being terrible and the ship being straight up worse than Georgia.

This is likely the case. In German BBs, it’s very easy to push too aggressively at the beginning of the match, and cruisers love melting battleships that overextend. It also doesn’t help that a lot of German battleship captains run secondary builds, which have to sacrifice either concealment or survivability to be effective.

I am a little bit contrary, I do well in the Pommern, I don't bother shooting until 14Km or less. If the other team let me get that range or closer, Im a going to be a bull inside a china shop.

I can even take bismarck or tripitz to lunch. Cruisers are my favorite meal. Although the British Goliath at 4 km was a problem. That was a tough kill.

No need to nerf, buff or anything, secondaries are fair and not bad. Useful actually for a change. Not a giant killer though.

I quit worrying about fire a long time ago. If it burns it burns oh well....

It doesn't have german armor...it has FdG armor, which is worse (check the models). The thing has inferior german armor, above average secondaries IF, and that is a big IF, the player gets to use it after dumping all his captain points in it, and has tier 7 guns. Slava gets to have armor, tier X guns, great dispersion at all ranges, the best penetration of the entire game, russian bias ballistics. The thing is good from the get go, no 19 skills captain required.

I don't have the ship and I have no interest in it. I just don't want to insta lose because my team has wasted BB slots in this crap

Actually, don't because you don't get to spec fire prevention. Well, you do...but then you are stuck with your tier 7 guns to deal any damage. Good luck with that.

You can't fix stupid players.  The Dirpitz name exists for a reason, and Pom is Dirpitz 2.0. 

I find it fairly strong in the 7 randoms I've used her in.  But hey, I like strong ships so feel free to buff her ;)

Didn’t get her. Don’t think much of the seriously ridiculous new German bombing and rocket UIs, so sure not going to waste money getting her in the bundle with Liwenwatsit.

Looks like Pommern is currently sitting at #3 in Win Rate and #4 in damage among t9 BBs on NA.  While I have yet to get Pommern to work for me on a consistent basis, I wouldn't expect any changes to the ship any time soon.  I do think reverting to 1.6 sigma would make the ship a little more comfortable without breaking it, but I'm not sure it actually needs any buffs atm.  Ship stats seem to normalize downward, so I'll be interested to see where Pommern sits after 100k games or so.

Personally, I would settle for the torpedo launchers not being made of spun sugar painted with rocket fuel, so that one of them might survive longer than three minutes.

I don't know why people think her guns are bad, a quick check and I have a better hit ration in her than my Conq, GK, Bismarck, Fuso and Thunderer....so they aren't bad.

When in the hands of a competent Captain, Pommern can be deadly.

When angled properly, she can bounce shells from most ships fairly well.

The issue is those players who have no idea how to play her (IE the Derpitz captains) and charge in like they are invincible.

Try supporting the pushing bb....

You'd be suprised at how effective it is....

The greatest problem with Pommern is to understand when you must move up full speed ahead.

You cant begin just jumping but you cant be on the back. The best is to be escorted by others... You must lead the charge but not alone.

 

I faced up some charging teams this morning. When the entire team charges, there is no mistake...

 

the problem is, if you charge alone, you will be main battery fired, torped, secondaried... You cant stand alone.

 

the good player knows to control the anxiety and wait for the right time.

 

The secret is to be not so fast nor so slow.

I would advise you to tell your team to follow him or to make him hold!

 

I try to be in the middle of the battle, but if i see my team in the back losing ships i charge...

Cause if you wait too long, there will be no reason to stay in the back, cause when you decide to charge your team is already lost.
