Okay, Before anyone actually thinks this will be in game (though that would be freaking funny) this topic is a joke.

Reading up on the wiki and confirmed by another site http://www.kbismarck...php?f=13&t=2532 and here also on google books http://books.google.... shells&f=false (scroll down slightly)

In the 1950's The United states Navy developed a Nuclear varient shell for the Iowa class Battleships know as W23 a varrient of the W19 shell.

The shell had a 15-20 kiloton explosive weight and could travel up to 23 miles. These shells are the largest Nuclear artillary  in extince.

The devlopment of this shell made the Iowas the only US naval ships to ever have Nuclear artillary.

The U.S Navy has never confirmed or denied that the Iowa class carried such shells during active service.

The Shells in theory would give the Iowa Class a 135-180 kiloton brodside weight.

So its simple, we dont need a montana tier X Just give the Iowa These shells and I think it would be fair  :Smile_trollface:

Nukes aren't all that great in naval warfare. For example, during testing the Prinz Eugen was bombed, didn't sink, and a goat in her turret lived for three days afterward. So I think all you'll do is like the guy in a knife-fight who kills his opponent, but his opponent lives long enough to kill him back.

the Des Moines class were quite likely to have carried nuclear munitions also. (I had the fortune to visit the USS Salem once...)

also, what do they need to be gold rounds for? T-92 in WoT already fires nukes normally. XD

Actually that may not be such a bad idea, because

1. Subs already carry intercontinental ballistic missiles, though WG says there won't be any subs in the game,

2. WG says on avg. maps will be 60 km, so a nuclear weapon will not disintergrate the field

A near miss becomes a hit.

That would be enough that they would need to make a much larger map than any previous map.

The enemy team would be nothing.
Neither team would survive one of these.
