This is a little bit different, because I used to make this topics mostly about German ships but I'm going to make this one different and about a ship that really impressed me (what is not easy) in battlestations..............Fuso class Japan battleships (Dreadnought) <3

I played with it almost always and it often replaced Yamato....don't get me wrong, it is awesome ship but still.......Fuso was more fun to play, and with that instant reloader perk..... :Smile_playing:

This ship really shows as real combination of some real firepower with preaty high number of guns for it's age, decent speed with around 25 knots max, and good armor.....bit better than one on Iowa except turrents....

That ship really surprised me with all it's capabilities in game and outside in some books I read recently......It's also another ship destroyed almost just with airplanes, Fuso and Yamashiro as only representatives of it's class were succeeded by "legendary" Ise class.... :Smile_glasses:

The Fuso design was done as such out of the fear of losing guns in a battle. Their original fear was that from WW1 and in the Russo-Japanese War, guns spread out into more turrets was better than pushing them into a single turret if that turret got knocked out. With 6 turrets of 2 guns each, they could lose 2 turrets and still have 8 guns to lay fire on an enemy ship. Also unlike the Ise, they were designed to be evenly spread out across the ship.

This link here gives you a nice 1/250 model that has a cut away of the inside of the ship, nicely done as well.

Yamashiro was honestly the one WW2 battleship that actually managed to justify everyone's expectations of how much damage a battleship could absorb in a single line of battle action, absorbing large-caliber and medium-caliber fire from multiple enemy ships without flinching though with noticeable lack of success in striking back.

Fuso on the other hand went down to what's usually believed to be a single torpedo hit.

That is evidence of pure luck they had. because it's armor was not a joke
