Please buff the AL Sov Rossiya's secondaries

AL Sov Rossiya is currently one of the weakest Tier 9 battleship in the game. The Tech Tree Sov Soyuz was balanced according to the average battleships at Tier 9. But for AL Sov Rossiya, the 0.1 sigma increase cannot compensate for losing the increased main gun accuracy at close range. This makes AL Sov Rossiya incapable at contesting and very weak at any range.

I would like to ask the devs to try increasing the secondary base range to 7.7km or so, and maybe even increase secondary reload/accuracy according to the spreadsheet's feedback. This can greatly help AL Sov Rossiya captains that find their ship nearly always outgunned when contesting a cap, and surely increase sales.

You'd need to seriously upgrade the AL Rossiya to make her secondary viable. Her secondaries, though better than the B-hull Soyuz, aren't even T8 territory with full captain skills and modules.

I currently have a secondary-build Sov Soyuz and the secondary DPM is okay. It's just the range is short.

AL Sov Rossiya doesn't need Pommern level of secondaries. She just need more secondary range and maybe reload, so when a teamplay-conscious player pushes in to contest a cap (such as in a BB v BB situation endgame), she isn't everytime an XP pinata.

Sov Soyuz has improves main gun accuracy at short range. AL Sov Rossiya has nothing.

No. No it's not. Sure it might look exciting when they go off, but going the secondary route in a Soyuz means you're investing a lot into what roughly equivalent to what you find in a battleship at T5/T6. The Rossiya (A-Hull Soyuz) is higher, but even then it's barely T8 level.

Understand that the secondary DPM of [secondary focused] battleships is surprisingly linear with tiers. The Soyuz, however, takes a huge step backwards in this department. The Vladivostok isn't great, and oddly enough the Sinop and Kremlin are exceptionally high for their tier, but the Soyuz stands out as the one battleship that takes like ten steps backwards in the secondary department.

Food for thought. The Kremlin has the highest secondary DPM of the T10 tech tree battleships, and it has an accuracy mod. If it's turrets actually survived a hit, it could be a sleeper.

Imagine if Rossiya had a bonus chance to knock out engines to emulate that barrage. TBH I’ve only really heard good things about Rossiya, mainly that she is less shotgunny at range, but alas it’s probably too early to make a proper opinion.

Good luck with that........Also consider that game BUFF and game NERF is ALWAYS on the table in this game. Once you obtain a ship that you like (Stats /abilities) guess what?  everything changes and you've just wasted (Money)  time on your prized possession only to hope for yet another ship promised with all the goodies ....................It is what it is, that's unfortunate .

The 130mm guns found on the Smolensk, Stalingrad, and Kremlin were a reliable dual-purpose gun technology that the Soviet Union loved very much in the late 1940s. In World of Warships, Kremlin's secondaries are impressively strong that they are basically firing Smolensk shells.

If the Sov Rossiya is supposedly the second ship of the Sov Soyuz-class, then the Soviet admirals would most likely insists that she has strong dual-purpose secondaries guns. In the late 1940s, the Soviet admirals considered strong dual-purpose secondaries needed for any capital ships, because based on the experience of WW2, capital ships sometimes have to operate with insufficient fighter escorts. The strong preference for a secondary battery is documented in Stephen McLaughlin's article "Project 82: The Stalingrad Class", in the Warship 2006 book, page 109-110, where the Soviet navy admirals clearly prefered the Stalingrad design that has more secondaries.

Even if Sov Rossiya keeps the 152mm and 100mm secondaries, based on the Soviet navy admirals' preference at that time, they would most likely to be rapid-firing and quite powerful.

Like I said in the other post:

It's never too late to buff something. WG buffed German BBs and also the Tirpitz, receiving very positive response from the player base.

If it's up to me, the Sov Rossiya would have Smolensk-like secondaries, rapid-firing and very powerful (like Kremlin's, and this is actually historical because, at the time, Russian navy preferred strong dual-purpose secondaries to defend the ship in scenarios where fighter escorts are insufficient), as well as other much needed buffs:

  1. Secondaries' based range increased to 7.7km (like Pommern's)
  2. 152mm secondaries' reload reduced to 7.5 sec (like Pommern's)
  3. 100mm secondaries' reload reduced to 3.35 sec (like Pommern's)
  4. Both 152mm and 100m secondaries' dispersion formula reduced from "57×R + 31" to "33×R + 28" (like Mamie's)
  5. Both 152mm and 100m secondary turrets' health doubled (like what WG realized with Sov Soyuz's main turrets during beta testing)
  6. Main gun reload reduced from 33 sec to 30 sec
  7. Main gun autobounce angle reduced from 45° (30° guaranteed) to 30° (22.5° guaranteed) like Alaska's
  8. Repair Party CD reduced from 80 sec to 40 sec
  9. Torpedo damage reduction increased to 46% (like Kremlin's)

Changes like these would make the Sov Rossiya not only more competitive, but also more fun to play (and still far from being overpowered). A good battleship needs the capability to contest a cap. If a battleship is not capable of contesting, she is not capable, period.
