Things to do before you get in game:

  • Let patcher download and run (shippost on forum while waiting)
  • Download and install mods

Things to do when you get in game:

  • Buy the new situationally OP combat flags (Armory > Customizations > Signals)
    • X-Ray Papa Unaone (+15% smoke laying time; 2.4m credits for 20)
    • Sierra Bravo (+10% hydro time, -10% DFAA reload; 2.4m credits for 20)
  • Upgrade your clan base
    • Research Institute, up to +5% RP earnings
    • Treasury levels 2-5, buy crates for everybody (not actually recommended; this is a recurring oil sink mechanism for clans who have capped out everything else)
    • Ships in harbor (based on clan activity: maxes out at 750 CBs+brawls per season, 12000 Random+Ranked+Co-op in last month)
  • Buy Pommern (Armory > Ships > 226000 coal OR whale with doubloons or cash)
  • Buy Slava (Armory > Research Bureau > 62000 RP)
  • Buy Loewenhardt if you've always wanted a miniature Graf Zeppelin with HE bombs (but don't do it for the missions; you can do them all in Pommern)
  • Spend your old German CV 1 event tokens (probably on expendable camos)
  • Install your Midway and Hakuryu LMs/UUs, they're back if you had them from before
  • Drag your abilities to the hotkey slots where they really belong (Port > Equipment > Reorder slider, then drag)

Then when you tire of window shopping simulator:

  • Avoid T10 because it's probably full of Slavas for the next week
  • Spam Pommern to finish its missions
  • Spam a non-BB to finish the one chain that's NO BB ALLOWED

Depends how many and how extensive yours are. The initial Aslain package is out already, though #00 releases often contain bugs.

Tried Aslains with my normal mods checked and it won't load the game.  Your mileage may vary due to different mods.  Nothing a normal mod user shouldn't be familiar with though.

Modstation works atm and saw some weird mm today. Played 2 manfred games which had 2 bbs in the first and 6 in the next (with no slavas)

Question about the "Treasury". My clan does not participate in Clan Battles. The only thing we do as a clan is Naval Battles. Thats the thing where you compete against another randomly selected clan. If you win, you get 700 oil points for your clan. The original WOWS post about the Treasury had a hint that you could receive coal for Naval Battles (that was in a graphic). Did this happen? Looking at the possibility of expanding the Treasury if Naval Battles does provide a resource other than the usual oil. Don't want to waste oil on expanding the Treasury if we get nothing out of it.

This sounds like a job for @Hapa_Fodder!

As far as I know, though, the Treasury only holds coal and steel that your clan earns through ranking placement in Clan Brawls, Clan Battles, and a few special events like King of the Sea. I'm not sure I've ever seen any currency other than oil awarded through Naval Battles. That said, Treasury level 2 actually lets you use oil to get coal crates (the same ones you get if you select More Resources Containers with your daily XP) for everyone in the clan, so I guess in an indirect way, now you can?

Currently any and all rewards that can be gained are showing in the "Go to clan treasury" area.

We may add more later, I don't know if we are TBH.

As for NB, right now, it will stay the way it is, but there is always room to grow :Smile_izmena:

Treasury Levels above 2 show even better rewards - one even rewarding the clan a Supercontainer...presumably to all members?  Would be cool.

Things to do before you get in game:

  • Backup log files to external drive
  • Backup replays to external drive
  • Backup screenshots to external drive
  • Backup entire game client to external drive, organized by patch
  • Rerun file comparison to ensure valid backup
  • Let WGC update and download
  • Immediately kill WGC process
  • Update Modstation
  • Update MxStat
  • Fix braindead default that deletes replays

Things to do when you get in game:

  • Switch port back
  • Verify nothing in the game or UI is completely borked
  • Think back to two years ago, when despite having less "content", the game was actually more varied and interesting, and dare I say it, FUN
  • Quit

Ignore whatever port Wargaming is obnoxiously trying to shove in my face, change port back to Ocean AGAIN.

Look for setting that gets rid of the silly video that has been added to the "game loading" screen.

Sell the Rhein.

They really should add a "Lock Port" function to the game. Granted it is a minor annoyance but it is an easy fix.

Well,it could be worse.

I have found some wierd stuff since last patch, but it is not a big deal to me.

Mostly, my carousel settings might not stick and I have to set them. Or I might be in a port I had not set.

While I do like the various ports and their scenic details, it would be great to get back to my favorite one.

I have yet to check, but the auto pilot, I need to find out if WG fixed it. A CV player's worst nightmare is when they push with the fleet and get stuck humping an island like a jackrabbit on Viagra. And then opponent sees you are stuck and tells mongo the BB player that struggles with moving targets to open fire 🔥. HUZZAH!
