So...if i buy one of the containers that costs 1k ( eyes the 6k Italian one ) once, will it open the collection thing so i can then start getting them in the daily containers or would i have to only buy the coal containers to complete it?

It depends on the collection. Some are subscription based so items drop in the daily containers, some will only drop from crates for that collection. Here’s a full (or near full) list of all the collections from the wiki: https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:Collections

Of the current crates in the armory, only four are subscription - In the service of the motherland, naval aviation, RN Destroyers, and American cruisers.

i see, 6k coal per for the italian is a big oof, but thanks!

It’s 6k per crate, but most players should be able to complete the collection with 25 crates (assuming you wait to spend duplicates), so he’s actually less expensive than the other coal commanders for most players. Still not a great use of coal unless you have all the current and upcoming coal ships you want, but it is cheaper in theory than the others.

Bell epoch seems to me,  the better value.

I usually burn my coal on that after I get an coal ship I am eyeing.

And for every one opened, a Pusheen gets a home.

You don't want homeless Pusheens do you?
