I have earned every single German free container available except for the final 2 from this weeks Twitch mission. Even the bonus ones for the weekend. Not a single German CV mission. Not one. How is this supposed to be fun? It is incredibly disheartening and no fun at all. How bout doing something like increasing the chance to get a mission each time you get a crate. At this rate I am not going to get a single German CV and this event makes me have no interest in grinding for them.

I'm just getting tired of everything being so RNG based. Maybe I still haven't recovered from buying two boosters and ending up 1.5 million short of the Puerto Rico, but these kind of events just make me like the game less and less.

I know I can grind the German line, but having a couple of the CV's makes it so much easier. Everyone knows grinding CV lines is awful.

Wargaming, please do something else for these events and stop making them so luck oriented. It's getting really old.

How could you not have fun opening Loot boxes where you have no idea what the odds are.

What does it matter? you havent spent any money nor have you done anything you would not have already done in the game. If you are playing the game to always try to win the RNG goodies, then you are playing the game wrong. Nothing wrong with them adding RNG to playing the game, which you already do everyday. If you are starting to think the game is not fun just because you arent winning the the things you want from FREE RANDOM crates its time to Do some soul searching. How about instead say thanks WG for giving me a a chance to win FREE STUFF for just playing the game. :cap_like:

Not to mention those Free containers do not leave players empty handed, they have been dropping 1,000 coal, few thousand free XP, dragon flags, 24 hours premium time, and other nice things. So definitely very nice.

It matters because the point of the event is to get chance to play German CV's and earn extra German tokens. I don't need to do any soul searching. I just want things to be less RNG oriented. That is not begging for free stuff. Also, it takes time, which is the one thing in your life you cannot earn.

Yes. That is true, but the point of the event is play german CV's or get the perma camo's not get more flags and a few camo's -which is all I've received so far.

WG is gambling that you will:

  • not lose heart and just quit.
  • perhaps just pay to assuage your frustration.

So, you're not the only one gambling! ;)

Yeah if you dont want RNG getting the CVs the event is called tech tree grinding. So if you dont like that then deal with a chance to get it for free. End of story. Theres always someone who has to whine about something. lets not be grateful for even a chance to skip some grinding, or get free camos/flags/etc. No lets be mad that we arent winning fast enough lol.

After the PR event I am not very inclined to spend much money, esp on ships that will be tech tree or 7,500 db for a tier 10 perma camo, which I can just buy one for 5,000.

I'm not sure you understand what whining means. I'm saying it is not fun. If I go to a party and it's poorly thought out and the food is bad and I say this is not fun, that is not whining. That is an opinion. It do find it funny that every time somebody expresses an opinion that does not support what Wargaming espouses, fan boys attack them. Call them whiners, LTP, your imagining things, etc. And again, getting the CV's mission saves a huge amount of grinding time.

Same here.  I'll get the Weser here in a couple of days.  I'll take it in to a training room and see if T6 is more interesting than T4, then sell it.

Good for you. You just stated the exact problem with this event.

To WG's credit, these are not exclusive loot box items.  You can get them by putting in the time.

But they are offering up the trade of that huge amount of grinding time for a spin at the loot box wheel.   The more you are conditioned to keep spinning that wheel, the better it works out for WG.

And understand that taking part in these things has knock off effects on the game.  A game dev that is doing well and making tons of money may just offer up this sort of thing as a nice to have.  As a gift, per se.  A game dev that isn't doing well or gets particularly greedy may try to induce more spins of the wheel by increasing the grind that everyone has to put up with.

Or reducing the payout, etc.  There's an infinite number of ways for the house to tilt the wheel in their favor.

The more you know!  :P

You can get them for putting in "even more" time. That is the correct answer. And again, I'm saying this is disheartening and not fun for a a lot people. The point of the game is to have fun. Event's like this, that are totally random, are not fun, unless you get lucky.  People who are enjoying things are far more likely to spend money. That is a fact. I worked for a fortune 50 for almost two decades and know how to make money. Las Vegas knows most people lose, but they also know that if people are having fun, they will spend more. Wargaming does not seem to understand this.

I hear you.  And I'm not familiar at all with the early access shenanigans.  So, it's a grind to save a grind kind of thing?  Yeah that sounds about right.

I think the conclusion you're supposed to reach is to skip that first grind to save the second grind and just buy the loot boxes instead.  But I'm not even sure if they sell those.  It's all so complicated!

My friend, there is no luck involved. I feel sorry for you for thinking so.

This game is the biggest cash grab in all of gaming. the sooner you realize this, the better armed you will be. Ive played 14 years of Warcraft, and spent a fraction of what this game costs.

Everything and i mean everything about this game is designed to make you spend money.

It's a complete joke.

Do the people sitting at the slots in your average casino look like they are having fun?

If you watch closely you can see their eye start to twitch as their paycheck dwindles down!:Smile_Default:

ROFL

No

I have received NONE of these things. Just a few flags. That is all.

OP is right that getting nothing in the crates FEELS awful.

Why bother with crates if they NEVER pay out?

At this point, I dont believe things like super containers even exist for my account. I cant remember the last time I got anything of note from a crate...of any kind.

This is supposed to get me to spend money? LOL

Caveat emptor

It's a business-the  point of the event is for the company to make money.  So your RNG mileage may be significantly less if you don't want to pay more, or play more.
