I am in support of it, especially the long-range thuds. So turn off sounds if it bothers you that much? :cap_old:

I like the sound feedback to the shells landing.  It was overwhelming at first, but I found it to be a nice confirmation after I got used to it.

It is fine, but sound shouldn't travel at light speed, it should travel at the speed of sound which leaves a noticeable time delay between the impact and the sound of the impact, longer the farther the range.

I really LOVE the new sounds for events happening NEAR MY SHIP.

BUT...

speed of sound in dry air at 20 °C =
343 m / s = 3sec/1km

When I shoot a target at +15KM, the sound would take nearly 45 seconds to reach me. More than bullet travel time!!

It is totally UN-IMMERSIVE , not realistic, far from "simulation". As said above, for my shots, the sound gains the SPEED OF LIGHT.

Just remove the sounds of shells hitting far targets. Leave all other new sounds!
