Details as follows: The source: https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/game-updates/update-096-german-carriers/ Seal Clubbers - especially carrier drivers - who find themselves in this situation are invited to do the moral, ethical thing and target non-human ships first if at all possible. 218 Malamute_Kid Members 740 posts 9,789 battles Report post #4 Posted July 7, 2020 One of the things I miss the most about the game since I first began playing is having teams of mixed bots and players on both sides. They are just so much fun, you never know what a bot will do and it can throw the most interesting wrenches into the game. The plethora of CVs at low tiers drove me away from T-3-5 games even though I really preferred game play at those tiers vs higher tier camp and hide style of play. I look forward to this change.

I suspect the latest submarine battles open trial was also a trial run for this.

It's not a big deal because the old launcher was phased out and it's probably a reminder to players who don't play often that the new launcher is needed if they want to play. Been a long while (over a year) since I decided to dust of my first love Umikaze for a few matches. Kept getting into battles with only 3 ships per side. Put the ship back into mothballs. Sigh A bit more recently I tried to take out my St. Louis. Queue showed more CVs than all other classes combined. Fortunately I managed to bail before I was placed in a match. Haven't tried again since.

738 Telastyn Members 1,084 posts 21,433 battles Report post #13 Posted July 7, 2020 Having recently dealt with retarded bots in submarine battles, this is a mistake and will only accelerate the demise of the game. I mean, beginners are terrible enough these days without having braindead bots to reinforce bad habits. 1
1,563 [EQRN] FrodoFraggin Members 2,440 posts 25,186 battles Report post #14 Posted July 7, 2020 It was the only thing I liked about sub mode, and the bots were much more intelligent than what is found in co op. It had an averaging out effect, and while blowouts still occurred, they seemed to be fewer in number than what I’d see in Randoms.
651 [F4E] Xcalib3r Members 1,362 posts 34,000 battles Report post #15 Posted July 7, 2020 That's certainly good news, the bots from co-op are SIGNIFICANTLY more intelligent and superior than the majority of the potato trash in randoms, the bots would juke shells and dodge torps like a champ, and they never hesitate to push, focus fire on enemy ships, and get into caps! I would much rather have bots on my team than any potatoes to be honest.

You had bots in random when you were in the newcomer matchmaking bracket. I had them too. Then they stopped when I moved into open MM.

Been a long while (over a year) since I decided to dust of my first love Umikaze for a few matches. Kept getting into battles with only 3 ships per side. Put the ship back into mothballs. Sigh I agree. I 'm glad to see this new change. It worked in Sub Mode. I actually like the Tier 2-5 ships. They're really cool looking, but if I am not playing during prime time, there is no way to start the battle. I have played some battles where I was up against just one other player, and it was fun, but I don't want to play that way every time. As for Tier 4 carriers, I did notice that they will abandon their team for no other reason than to chase a DD with torp planes in hopes of getting a Devastating Strike achievement. This was unbelievably stupid and led to that player being killed, but he did finally get his achievement by torping me, but only after he had neglected several battleships for most of the game. I never go after DDs in my CV unless they become a threat to me, then I give battle while trying to dodge its torpedoes. Taking out a DD right before it can kill you is really exciting and satisfying. It is a shame that CV players have been excluded from most of the regular achievements available to most other ship types. This needs to be corrected or additional achievements specifically tailored for CVs need to be added to the game. This might actually change the dynamic of the game as well and reduce the hostility towards CV players if they have a reason not to spend the entire match looking for destroyers. Looking forward to playing V-25 and some other great ships again!

Beat me to it. It's the result of CVs, of course. Lots of us never play low tiers now because of the 4 and 6 CV crapfests. Even after they reduced the 6 CV garbage, there are still too many CVs. Just another way the failure cascade of the ReBork continues to spread damage across the game's playability and enjoyability. But rather than halve the number of matches with CVs and make CV players wait -- or remove T4 CVs to coop only as so many have suggested -- the devs have decided to introduce bots to Randoms. So now in the Random queue dump.. They're going rearranged the red ships to the green side and the red side is nothing but bots (or a percentage of bots to human ratio to be determined).. I smell stat padding opportunity.... If this is in random for everyone (excluding the protective MM for the new guys)... This has a potential to inflate the WR% of certain players drastically. Let the derby season begin.

This has a potential to inflate the WR% of certain players drastically. This is for Tier 5 and below ONLY. Read my initial post again. Yes, some people will use it to inflate their stats to try and get into the "desirable" clans. The wise clan recruiter will take a deep dive into their stats, see that much of their high win rate is in T4 and below against baby seals and bots, and tell the applicant to go stick a burning Kawachi where the sun shineth not. The unwise clan recruiter will take the applicant on overall win rate, and said applicant will soon be found out as a poseur and shown the door in disgrace. Their name may even be bandied about behind the scenes as one to watch out for.
