In this case I am talking about Operations (just for instance) but it applies to all modes. Here is my point and it matters elsewhere not just operations. You need ship kill ribbons, so you kill transports first for the easy kill, before you kill the ships that fire at you, the rest of the team suffers. Your objectives lead to some of the worst game play, then people think it's the MM, but it is actually your not so well thought out objectives. Think before you make objectives, or is it just that chaos factor that you depend on. 5 years and it seems you intend this kind of chaos. Please make objectives a sane part of the game instead of insane. You all know exactly what you are doing and I am talking to you WG, Lesta, who ever. Just quit the chaos, Bean Shoots, cheese and rice or whatever you think it is you are accomplishing. You can only fool people for so long before they learn. Your standards have changed since your beginning and not for the better, shame on you and you will see that it affects you negatively in the nearest future. Gamester's are not stupid don't treat us as such.

Shoot the hostiles first, then the transports? Just a suggestion. It's not like those transports are going anywhere. I dunno, seems like the problem is more between the keyboard and chair.

You blame WG for the way that other player choose to play?  :Smile_facepalm:

WG knows exactly how each percentage of the population will react,. There are people that take advantage of the regular people, some of them are called corporations, they are fictitious people, yet they own companies and do business. and are fictitious so they can't be killed. They pay people to tell them how society will react. Think what you want. Know what you know.Just think for yourself and not what your friend thinks. Me, I think WG knows exactly how it manipulates us. You could call me SavvyDawg. But I am more philosopher than gamer. They are interlinked though.

Yes, it's their directives. Why not exclude a mode that it exploits. You think they don't know, they know and it blows up your games, don't complain about the MM as long as you allow this crap. Money for nothing get your chicks for free.

Do you really know what this song meant, yet didn't change.

I was more of a fighter then and not so much a fatalist or synicalist.

How easy is it to tell? Play the game.

Just don't fool yourself, there should be a class in that in first grade. Own your own bad, no one teaches that, and every one lets corporations do bad, they perpetuate it. This corporation promised a lot, think about it. The promises fell flat. How much does WG make from us, who does it give to? The way Io have felt like I have been treated for my devotion is third rate. There has to be a better way of gaming than this.

Think I'll go play drunken Ranked battles.

I understand where you are coming from, but you must have some heavy duty aluminum foil hats laying around if you want to pin this one on WG and not those players. Destroying ships is the name of the game, just because some players want to speed through the directives at the expense of others doesn't mean WG has some secret anti-WoWs agenda. Do you blame WG for seal clubbers to?

People are easy to read and WG does that, some call it advertising or social analyses. Personally I can't wait till my Granny dies and I can go back to my free way of life. Society is starting to pain me (with it's stupidity) and I can't wait to get back out of it.

I hate ranked and played drunk last time, I drank and in 12 battles got 67% wins and I only played DDs, let's see if it was a fluke tonight, whiskey factor the same. Check my stats tomorrow in the morning and see. I'll be asleep till afternoon. Oh yeah I got to rank 5.

Apparently it isn't, your teams have done a good job of carrying you.

If you had said WG create some silly missions that 'encourages' bad play and a lack of teamwork - I would have said yes.

But the choice is yours. You say 'you need ship kill ribbons, so you kill transports first'. But adopting that choice (bad play for the Op and for the ream), was all your own choice.

You could choose to play the Op, but it sounds as though you chose to play for you, not the team.

Saying WG made me do it, doesn't ring true.

I'm not so sure about that.

However, perfectly normal people walk into a casino every day knowing that they will probably lose.

Operations mode died when they nerfed the payouts. All the smart players left.
I just ran Killer Whale to finish my dailies, and everything went fine.

As for the remaining modes (I love this part),
The players complained they didn't have enough content and wanted prizes.
WeeGee gave it to them.
Now those same players are complaining that others are playing for prizes instead of the main objective.

Sure, there are mind blowing idiots in this game that cause enormous frustration,
but there is still a minority of battles where teamwork is real, and you feel good after the battle.

As for the bad battles, my goal is simply to top the leaderboard.
Afterwards, I can look at it and say to myself, "Told ya so!"

Please remember that we have a lot of new players in the game now and they aren't scenario veterans. Defense of Naval Station Newport and Raptor Rescue notwithstanding, most of the scenarios are easily accomplished that usually yield three to five stars. The last day of the recent Newport mission one of my teams actually managed a five star in that match.

Give advice, be patient, understand we have inexperienced people playing.

Individual goals do encourage selfish gameplay.  Not a problem, unless you are part of a team.

If someone knows of a way for all the goals in these ship grinds to be team-centric, I'm all ears.  There are a metric shitton of these individual goals.  That's a hard ask.

Also this....

Even when there are no missions requiring kills I see players in randoms focus their attention to an AFK BB instead of the 3 BBs that are actually firing at them. Can't tell you how many times I've seen these brilliant players die because they switched their attention to the AFK ship.

Lazy players will always opt for easy damage even if it puts them in danger by ignoring live players/bots. No different in this Operation regardless of mission or no mission.

A long time ago I gave up posting a 'Kill the ships that shoot back first' or 'Kill Albert first' message in chat.  There does not have to be a directive (for kills) for some people to blaze away at the transports.  I've even read on this forum about someone remarking about how difficult it is to get a 'Shark among shrimps' award in Killer Whale.  Some people have no problem mining XP and kills while letting teammates do the hard work.

All you can do is the best you can to help the team get all five stars  Expecting all your teammates to do the same simply leads to frustration.

Low iq players yoloing transports is why I only play CV or DD in killer whale anymore.  You have to just ignore them and carry the match, trying to reason with them is futile.
