What To Do If Your Mailbox Keeps Getting Knocked Down

Heard hilarious story of a guy that every winter would have his mailbox in his yard intentionally run over by a snowplow which was an annoying expense as it happened all too frequently. And was most definitely deliberate, so after trying various legal ways to deal with the problem the owner of the property had ingenious idea. He went and arranged for the permits to have a nice heavy steel beam driven 2-4 meters or so into the ground and set into concrete. Then he attached his mailbox to the top of the steel beam and it looked no different so nobody would suspect anything.

Well next winter the snowplow driver came by to carry out his malicious destruction of the mailbox. The score was mailbox 1 snowplow 0 and heavily damaged. The snowplow driver finally got into well deserved deep trouble over the matter with the snowplow company that had refused to listen to the home owner. Well they certainly had taken notice after the Snowplow was so badly damaged and the responsibility for the matter fell 100% on the Snowplow driver as the home owner was a nice person that had followed all laws to the letter.

Some times you hear stories about justice being served in such well deserved, peacefully / passively , and Hilarious ways. So decided to share this with the forum community to hopefully brighten up everyone’s day. :Smile_veryhappy:

A friend of mine out in the country was tired of seeing his taken out by pumpkins at Halloween and he did the same with the post but then added 1/4 inch thick plate welded to form the box. He did not get any permits for this, so every so often he gets harassed by various government types about the construction of his mail box. Note, to this day, it is intact and serving its purpose.
