What are the odds of this finding success? What are the odds it will result in just the dubious absence of some familiar clans? I’ve seen a couple threads on this subject but no firestorm like 8.0 or NTC. Those two events had the forum on fire. To the point multiple threads just started getting melded together. Multiple times. That’s usually the cue it has got on radar it seems. On a quieter path is submarines. Submarines has the same potential of being a disrupter as CV’s. There will probably be multiple subs per battle on both sides. I imagine when they are first introduced the que will fill with them. Haven’t heard a hard cap number yet. I’m guessing three or four per team. What if they find their way into Rank Sprint, Rank, Clan Brawl, CB? Times are changing. Will the call to boycott stop the changes coming? If they start listening to the people, maybe I will start putting sugar in their tea again. Edited June 28, 2020 by Sovereigndawg

Will the call to boycott stop the changes coming? No? Outside not being able to really use them, subs for now don’t bother me much. Oh, I hate being the battleship that stands no chance against a sub; but I also hate being a nearly dead battleship whenever some vulture carrier trash comes along and blaps me, without actually hating carriers themselves. Maybe like several recent threads implied; I just too stupid, and too rotten a player, to understand how carriers, (and soon subs?) actually ruin the game. I boycott Clan Wars anyway; so I’m completely indifferent as to whether or not carriers are in the mode or not. Chess doesn't "belong" to someone nor you are charged for playing it.

Not the point. Endless change and churn aren’t prerequisites for success. And, not particularly true: People keep paying for USCF/FIDE memberships, buying chess sets, chess programs. Tournaments have entry fees. And Not Particularly True II: Payment is not required to play WoWs. Remember “Free to Play” and all that? And, Not The Point II: Monopoly belongs to Milton Bradley/Hasbro, and someone has to buy a set, yet the rules have remained relatively stable. Scrabble, etc.

Given that WG has continuously ignored negative user feedback in the past as well as given direct statements about how skilled players do not matter to them, no. Scrabble, etc. Team Fortress is a classic very fun game, do you keep playing it? Do you still consistently play classic deathmatch modes? Do you keep renting VHS tapes at Blockbuster? Where are your fax machine, walkman and Blackberry? Are the rules of football the same as 30 years ago? Things change, evolve or devolve, in online entertainment it is doubly true. My point is, this is a private venture, they can do as they consider best to keep their game profitable, it is nothing weird, nothing strange, nothing inmoral and nothing like changing the rules of chess.
