Kung-Fu Hustle is a good one! Good fight scenes and funny also!

If you want a 3 part mini-series, Generation War is a great watch! It’s about 6 German friends and the different paths they take at the outbreak of WWII.

The Das Boot series is also good. Only 2 seasons so far and season 3 is scheduled to be made.

The Battle of Myeongnyang.

12 vs 330 and it wasn't a fair fight.

I prefer the classics like Fellini's La Dolce Vita or 8 1/2

Sounds interesting, which foreign nation made it?

On topic for the thread, Admiral, a 2015 Dutch movie about Michiel de Ruyter, worth a watch.

Here's one I want to throw in despite it's western production origins.

"Letters from Iwo Jima" from 2006.

It's a Clint Eastwood made film but it was also done at the same time as they were doing "Flags of Our Fathers."

Both came out in 2006, both were about the same battle, but they differed on the story focus and POV.

IMO, "Letters" was the superior movie of the two because the story was tighter, more focused, and you stayed with one character to really feel what he was undergoing.  "Flags" was fine but it jumps around a lot with flashbacks and tons of characters, disrupting the flow of the movie.  "Letters" was a western origin movie but it's Japanese actors playing IJA and a few SNLF characters, speaking Japanese, in a WWII movie from the JP perspective... Certainly rare in Hollywood.  It gave IMO, a very good immersion in the desperation, hopelessness in the defense of Iwo Jima.

If you had seen both, there's certain segments where the two movies intersect.
