This isn't a rant, only voicing where the game & I stand.

I logged into the game, played 1 coop, did very well but I had no ambition to play another. Instead I played Microsoft Solitaire.

Today is the 12th. I usually complete both dailies everyday. I can finish my 9th daily to complete the Daily Mission Normal but I usually have the hard finished by this time.

I do not believe CV's are balanced well enough to be in the game & I also believe subs will be as bad if not worse than CV's.

While these two issues are very much downers in my book I'm certain there is more causing my despondent feeling with this game.

I did enjoy this game & I wonder if that enjoyment will return.

Shelf life. Burn out. You been here too long. It's the game. It's not the game. It's you. Could be any or all those things. Take a break. When the warship itch strikes again, fire it up. Don't let something that's supposed to be fun become monotonous. That's how annoyances grow into neck pains that grow into complexes. Try "Warhammer Armada" or an oldie but goodie called "Homeworld" for a taste of ship strategy adventure. Good luck and see you soon.

I have fun playing this game but I don't play it all the time. I get bored with it and then do other things. Eventually I'll get a hankering to return to it. I like to study history and philosophy, look at birds, read novels, research firearms, shoot my guns, build computers, work in my shop, fix things around the properties, work in my garden, play with the cats, mow the yard and lots, rebuild small engines, and even play the odd browser-based game.

Have you watched any of C&Rsenal on YouTube? They review many of the firearms used in WW1. I find it very interesting.

I’m a okay boomer. So I download free versions of Space Invaders on my phone to kind of take a break and unwind.

Yes I have. Mostly though, I watch Forgotten Weapons. If that had been a TV show when I was a kid I'd have rushed home every day after school to watch it.

For me, fun is a fickle thing in this game. I've had periods where I enjoy every minute, I've had periods where I am rather ambivalent, and I've had periods of absolute frustration that always precede a long, a very long break away from the game. My last break from the game lasted 14 months as a matter of fact. Try taking a break and seeing how you feel after a week, month, or even a year away. When, if, you return you might have a different perspective of the game that can make it feel fresh and interesting again - not to mention all the changes that might occur during your self-imposed exile.

If you banish these beliefs from your game focus, your despondency may miraculously disappear.

YMMV.

It is hard to pretend when something is so blatantly obvious.

I'll check that one out. I've spent a little time reviewing the 38 super lately. While it isn't forgotten it is overlooked by many.

It's always better when my son joins me, he said he should be able to play tonight. As a retiree living in the northern plains I did spend many hours playing the game because of the weather. that may have a lot to do with it.

I did not suggest that you pretend anything.  I suggested that you eliminate "something".  Challenge yourself to play the game without those "issues" in  mind.

You're "certain there is more" but you didn't offer anything "more".

Agree with both of you!

As far as the original post...I took a "break"....for a year and a half, lol. I just dunno. Tanks was worse, but yeah, something is missing.

I have been playing a lot of Plants vs. Zombies.

Funniest thing.  I don't end up angry after a session of that game.

I don't fret over CV's.

I've watched a few episodes over the last few weeks as well.

The "Golden Boy" got the lead role in season 2.

According to WG,

As long as they dish out power creep products and make ship classes disproportionate, everyone is having fun...

This is what has been communicated to WG since 2018... Its not going to change for 2020... It is what it is...
