Give them a separate consumable slot for DFAA.  is is a much more comprehensive way to address the power creep they have experienced than buffing their reload, and makes them actually viable as AA cruisers again.

it would work, if DFAA actually did anything other than make your flak clouds red

Here is a crazy idea, how about nerfing the potent offensive capabilities of ships that are +2MM of the Flinf/ATL...

Nerfing the ability of instant deletion regardless of angling also has a secondary benefit... It curves the potent affects of the snow ball affects...

Hey, one can dream for a fair game, doesn't mean they always come true.

What's the point of buffing the reload by a second?  You can't hit anything after the IFHE debacle.

IFHE has never done anything to improve(or hurt) your hit chances.

Dude, the Atlanta is so damned squishy that it should risk getting dev struck if caught out in the open by an enemy BB!!!!!

Stop blaming BBs for cruiser players playing stupidly and paying for their stupidity by being dev struck!!!

Or, and heres a crazy thought - we actually properly adjust her AA for the loss of the stupid mid-short range flak and keep their old flavouring by increasing the amount of constant DPS caused by their long range AA in this case DP 127 mm guns.

I believe that you did, because you were talking about "instant deletion regardless of angling", which would only pertain to BBs or perhaps certain super cruisers.

That would be way way too intelligent. Next you'll be suggesting that they make DFAA useful again. That's crazy talk!

Be more precise.
Super structures did not change, They're light cruisers not Super Star Destroyers.
They are designed to hunt destroyers and support the fleet with AA.
Not systematically melt the enemy team 1 by 1 even when in a tier 9 matched game.
This is balance.

They only sold this ship for Steel, for what, three years with the intention that it was difficult to play but could hold it's own when up tiered.  All a BB has to do is sneeze on it to take it out.   So the IFHE nerf reduced it to 'supporting a fleet with AA' ?  Yes, I know, we are all here just to support BBs.

I mean it is useful till - long as it's on the right ship. Problem with it is really more that the 50% DPS increase to continuous damage doesn't mean much on ships like say Hood who have such a pathetic amount of AA that you could triple it and it still suck. Meanwhile other DFAA+ sector reinforce just wipes planes from the sky.

Really the ships where DFAA has an issue is more a symptom of how poorly balanced AA is with most ships below tier 8 needing buffs of varying degrees and 8+ down to what ship it is - Yamato as an example needs a buff but Minotaur seriously needs a nerf. Which I say as an owner of Yamato, Minotaur, and tier 10 CV's.

I like reload buffs and Atlanta and Flint need more. What they need AA wise is much more flack and more accurate flack puffs.

This. Similar to Mass having more accurate secondaries, at least I recall that. Slap that on Atlanta and Flint and see what happens.

And yes, separate slot so they can run DFAA and hydro.

@Hapa_Fodder Thoughts? As AA cruisers they leave much to be desired since the rework. Perhaps not squadron splashing like they used to be but, much more effective than what they are today.
