Hello. I present to you the modified permanent camouflage. Most of the work was done according to historical data (there are inaccuracies associated with a lack of information and the mechanics of the game).
I will be glad to objective criticism, advice, ideas and new information about camouflage (photos and books on the topic).

Installation: unpacking the archive at: World_of_Warships\bin\newest folder (number)\res_mods\

The path should look something like this: World_of_Warships\bin\newest folder (number)\res_mods\content\gameplay\common\camouflage\textures

To delete a single mod (camouflage), you need to delete the necessary .dds files in the World_of_Warships\bin\newest folder (number)\res_mods\content\gameplay\common\camouflage\textures.

To delete ALL modifications (camouflage), delete the contents of the final folder World_of_Warships\bin\newest folder (number)\res_mods\content\gameplay\common\camouflage\textures. Be careful - this way you can delete what you would like to keep.

I use Google translate. English is not my native language, so correct me if I make a mistake somewhere) Thank you for your attention.

Groznyy (type Gnevnyy). One of the options for the scheme of 1942-1943. The camouflage of the company also represents the coloring of the destroyer Groznyy, but in my opinion it is made with inaccuracies. This work corrects some inaccuracies.

Thanks!  This topic is probably not particularly in use.  Most users probably use skins.  But since some mod developers are temporarily absent, I think it's worth trying to translate their work into camouflage.  This topic is only a transfer of my topic from the ru-forum.  In the future I want to publish something similar to a collection of camouflage based on the idea of plain camouflage.  That is, there will be monophonic schemes + historical.

Ah... good to see your posting here :Smile_great:

I've often wondered if using the camouflage to skin ( e.g Wawan's method ) is easier/better, and of more value than the conventional method. Does using this method ( Camouflage - be it premium or normal) mean that the file sharing is non- existing or not, as it is in the case with standard skinning?

Hello!  Creating camouflage is easier in my opinion (if only because there is no need to create a rust effect, since the mg file is responsible for this), but you still have to make a rough sketch of the skin.  By the way, the problem of shared files is also missing, that is, for one ship, you can easily install for example 4 unique camouflage patterns (for ships with two hulls even more).  At the same time, there is a minus of camouflage - it still does not look as beautiful as a well-made skin).

PS If you want, you can become a * beta tester * of the new camo modpack.  True, I do not fill it very quickly and most of the ships there now do not have their own color.

Hello. For some time I create a mod for plain, gray shades (not only gray, hello Mountbatten!) ships (with a small selection of shades for some nations). Replaced the texture of most standard tile camouflage (left MS21 and type 21).
In the future, there are plans to add unique historical camouflage for most of the ships, removing unhistorical camouflage (similar to New Year's on level 6 ships that are not removed with a checkmark).

The honesty mod is commonplace - 4 textures - black, red, green, blue, text file corrections. But I think this is about what the players expect who are still interested in the historical visual component of the game - a certain minimum program.

If you are interested in this - use it, test it (I play a little and can not cover a large number of fights at different levels needed for testing). Waiting for feedback.

In the meantime, I will slowly add some things that I will then distribute to the masses, if there is demand.

Adding a destroyer Groznyy.

Destroyer Groznyy participated in the Winter (Soviet-Finnish) war. During the Great Patriotic War, the destroyer Groznyy made minefields, escorted convoys. In 1956, it was reclassified to an experimental ship, received the name OS-3.
September 10, 1957 sunk near Novaya Zemlya as a result of nuclear tests ..

The company also uses the color of the destroyer Groznyy, but in my opinion there are some inaccuracies. Of course, I also have inaccuracies (but they seem to be smaller), and they will be eliminated with new information.

My modification. Of the obvious changes - the addition of dark triangles, which are noticeable in the photo. The geometry of some drawings has also been changed (many have been deleted altogether).

Hello! Once I saw one interesting photo. It depicted the damaged light aircraft carrier Princeton and the light cruiser Birmingham extinguishing a fire on it. It was not possible to save the aircraft carrier, in addition, an explosion occurred on it, allegedly of air bombs that killed 233 people of the Birmingham crew. As a result, Princeton was sunk by torpedoes of the cruiser Reno.

This fascinated me, and now we have schemes that used the cruisers Reno and Birmingham to participate in those events.
But they are not the only ones who tried to save the aircraft carrier. Therefore, we meet Irwin (Fletcher-class) who participated in an attempt to save Princeton, an attempt to drown him, and saved 646 people from this aircraft carrier.

P.S And we say sincere thanks to that artist from the Company for giving the plain tower to Fletcher! Thanks to him, this scheme is possible.

Hello! For some reason, Colorado in the standard version of the client wears California permanent camouflage, which is of the Tennessee type.
Comrade Tanz has allowed me to use his work, and I am ready to present you a work based on his skin for the battleship Colorado. I slightly changed some parts of the camouflage, but some features of the game do not allow creating camouflage in greater detail (using the coloring of some parts several times on the same ship).

This camouflage is historical for Colorado. The Measure 31 / 3D scheme was used from at least November 1943 to October 1944.

I thank Tanz for the help.

I also want to inform you that my other job is a collection of camouflages *Simply Grey Paint* in development (Colorado is just part of the improvement of that modification). I hope I finish it before the New Year).

Hi! Does it mean he is still "in service":Smile_honoring:

I cannot speak about it with confidence, but I hope that he will return in time.  For now, all that remains is to use his skins, or camouflage based on his work, as in this case.

P.S. Do you happen to have a Z-52?

Can you help me take a screenshot of the camouflage for the Z-52?  I have a mod, but I cannot add it to the theme, as there is no given destroyer in the port.

I have better idea (for skinmaking too)

Just use mods "All research-tree ships" and "Unresearched ships in color" (both present in Aslain`s modpack and Modstation), and you will be able to check all your skins and take screenshots for any ships in the game you want.

Added camouflages for the German destroyers Leberecht Maas and Z-52.

The color of the game destroyer Leberecht Maas matches the historical color of the destroyer Z-5 Paul Jacobi.

The coloring of the game destroyer Z-52 is based on the historical coloring of the 1943 Z-27 destroyer.
