Okay, below was a victory.  Not a super unicum game with 300,000 damage or anything.  But a victory with decent damage.  And it would have been negative credits if I didn't have a premium account.  Granted, I had premium consumables.  But wasn't WG going to do away with that, and make consumables automatically the premium version?  Whatever happened to that?

Was this a co-op game? Those are always expensive to play in the higher tiers.

And the high service costs is/was WG's way to not just make premium time and ships more attractive, but to encourage people to play things other than the higher tiers.

In fact, them making permanent camo available wrecked that economy they set up, and was why tier 8 was so painful to play for so long.

the idea of high service costs of T9 and 10 ships was to force you either...

A: spend money on premium time

B: spend money on a T8 or 9 premium ship, which come with increased credit earnings and a baked in reduction in service costs

C: grind coal, steel, or Free XP to get a T10 premium, which has a greatly reduced service cost (tech tree T10- 180k credtis, T10 premium- up to 45k credits)

D: spend money on a perma camo on T9 and 10 ships which grant a 20 and 50% reduction in service costs respectively

And for the removal of premium consumables, that was supposed to be part of the NTC, but was canned after everyone rightfully complained about everything else about the NTC, maybe as WG taking revenge for everyone complaining about how PTW NTC was.

Yes, high tiers are too cheap to run so players can just play endless Tier VIII, IX and X matches.

No, the front page of the posted after action report states that it's a random battle.

Yeah, it was a random battle, which seems to be what WG wants people to play instead of co-op or scenarios.  Granted, not as much as they want people to play clan or ranked, but those aren't going on right now.  So maybe they're telling us not to bother playing at all unless there's a ranked or clan season going on?

You want to be scard look at Worchest and prem consumables on all the options.

To 10 means that you have to get the perma camo if you ant to play all the time.

632 XP is not a very good match even though you had decent dmg.   most likely you were farming BBs which will reduce reward.   t9 is to be break for most with free account  while t10 is break even for most with premium account.       use of lot of premium consumable will affect this.

When the Naval Training Centre in its original form became the Research Bureau, that disappeared.

No my friend, nothing is messed up.........!  In fact, it's working as intended.  F2P's mostly use this "costing" concept to force PT.....  They set out to entice players with good returns on time invested and with good rewards from boxes, crates and events;...........then, sometime later as the game matures, all of those benefits are slowly degraded as time goes on.......   "No one will notice" is the corporate mantra (Profit First, Players Meh;) and, "they have too much invested in the game to quit...." is the retention paradigm.............  At some point, the game "implodes" and the corporation then resorts to "whale first sales"; or, Buy-to-Access; and, for the rest of us:   "Let them eat cake".........da?

This is known since... the game left CBT?

Not making credits at T9/10 was originaly thought as a reason that players come down to lower tiers again to earn money.

But they offered a way out: it's called premium time. Those 50% extra earning makes the difference between a losing money at higher tiers or not.

Also it promotes the sale of premium ships, many have a very good credit earing modifier baked in.

And like mentioned before, there is another dirty trick: your earning is influenced by tier difference and how much damage you do in % to the max health of a ship. So 10k from a T10 DD earns you much more then 10k on a T7 BB.

there are no premium consumeables in WOWS, there are standard consumeables and slightly more expensive consumeables, both cost credits.

we cannot see the quality of your damage here, credit and xp rewards for dmg depend on the relative tier and type of target. If your 90 k dmg were dealt to a few tier 7 bbs by your tier 9 cruiser, your credit earnings would be naturally modest (as an example). Also of note, zero kills, zero caps contested (was this a weekend 5 minute roflstomp match?)

Your base xp at 1450 is fine, but nothing spectacular, this would concur with the doubts I express above.
