To participate in the World Compliment Day celebration, you don't have to buy greeting cards, gifts or flowers. All you have to do is pay sincere compliments to people around you. World Compliment Day addresses the basic human need for recognition and appreciation. Nobody wins anything commercially, but everyone gains emotionally.

On March 1, take a moment to tell people how wonderful they are. A sincere and personal compliment costs you nothing but it means the world to the addressee. Compliments make people happier, boost their self-confidence and encourage them to keep on going no matter what.

Those used to be given away so frequently (in containers) that many of us have 40-50+ extra reserve slots.  WG finally got the msg and they rarely show up in a container anymore...at least I've not seen any freebies in well over a year.  Like port slots, they do go on sale every so often.

As someone already stated, Reserve slots uses to be a dime a dozen in daily crates. Now, the best way to get them for free is from events or campaigns that give commanders. It's too bad the ARP event is over because it gave out a whole bunch of IJN-compatible commanders.

Thanks for the info!  Do you get a reserve slot with each new commander you acquire that doesn't come in a ship, or only if your existing reserve slots are already full?

As far as I know, the ships you get from events come with slots for both the ship and commander. However, when you purchase a tech tree ship you must have slots available or purchase them at that time.
