Mini-Map is a great help for leading your shots on ships moving away from you.

Seems unnecessarily complicated. I just use the aiming reticle.

It is actually a big help on ships going away. I am able to Kentucky Windage shots at a ship approaching at an angle quite well.However the additional lead needed with one angling away throws the mind off and a quick glance at the mini map can make all the difference.
