I have the free XP to get the Moskva, if I purchase the ship and don't get the camo, will I get the camo free when the ship goes to premium status?

If it has a perm camo then yes you would get it for free.

Premium ships come with at least one perma-camo.

 

If you have or buy Moskva perma-camo, the following is very likely to happen.

It is really RU main cruiser line T10 perma-camo, so the T10 that replaces Moskva on the main line, gets the Moskva's old perma-camo.

I wouldn't free XP to the Moskva until we get further details.  No harm in waiting.

Agreed we are still months away. No need to rush enjoy the game play move up the tech tree normally.

You will get the permacamo when Moskva becomes a premium (and I would definitely recommend getting Moskva and rebuying Kirov before the split happens to get the two ‘free’ premiums), but I wouldn’t spend free xp yet until we know when the split is coming. In other words, keep grinding the line and then spend free xp to get the rest of the way if you don’t make it. WG doesn’t know whether you’ll get the tech tree replacements, have them unlocked but unpurchased, or unresearched, but they’ve confirmed you’ll get the new premiums with their tier permacamo.

Assuming a two part pan EU DD event like normal, the earliest the split would happen is 9.4 (aka mid April). There have been secondhand rumors from some CCs and testers that the split may be coming sooner than we expect, but unless the split occurs during a line early access or release it’s unlikely to be any earlier than 9.3 (if it overlaps the full DD release patch) or 9.4.

It WILL NOT BE a premium ship.

It will be a SPECIAL ship just like Stalingrad is...

....

However,  you raise a very valid question as Special class ships do have a PERMANENT CAMOUFLAGE.

Can you enlighten us on the camouflage situation with Moskva when he changes classification?

A- Moskva with no camouflage,  does it get one?

B- Moskva with permanent camouflage,  what happens?

If you have Moskva, the UU, Perma-camo, and Capt will stay on her after the conversion.

The real question is, "If you have a Moskva with NO permanent camo, will it acquire one when it goes 'special' (or whatever)?"

I don't have a definitive answer for that yet, however, I would assume that if you do not have the perma-camo when this occurs that you would have to purchase it.

The Moskva is a fabulous tier X cruiser.  Whether tech tree or premium it is a very good ship.
