We've already announced the new Soviet cruiser subbranch and its features, and today we would like to share the stats of the new ships.

Changes to researchable Soviet cruisers:

  • Updated stock hull geometry and visuals for the cruisers Budyonny, Shchors, and Dmitri Donskoi, as well as their AA and secondary guns composition;
  • Dmitri Donskoi's researchable hull B will no longer be available.

Features of the Soviet heavy cruisers:

  • Effective armor piercing shells: They have high armor penetration for cruisers, good ballistics, and a short fuse arming time (0.022 seconds), which lowers the number of overpenetrations. These shells also have improved ricochet angles: it is possible starting from 55 degrees and guaranteed from 65 degrees;
  • These strengths are offset with an average reload time and special accuracy settings: at long ranges, the dispersion ellipse of the new sub-branch ships is bigger than that of other cruisers;
  • A combination of their accuracy settings and a Surveillance Radar consumable with a 12 km range makes the new cruisers most effective at medium ranges.

985-995 m/s for the T9 and T10. Holy crap = overpen city

Even more ships being added I see with extra premiums

High Rof, high velocity rifles on ships with low detection and Radar. As if it wasn't crowded at high tiers already :fish_boom:.

Wait! What is this 8km B.S. on Soviet cruiser torps at Tier 5??? Why does the "flavor" change so drastically from 4km to 8km? That's a little too heavy handed for "defensive" torps as has been the routine for Soviet cruisers in the original branch.

This is the first time I claim "Russian Bias".

And then back to 4 on the Buddy.  I wouldn't expect that to last (in the tech tree at least).

The Tier X ships are going to get their detectability down to or inside their own radar ranges, and they have absurdly high shell velocities and outrageous accuracy.

Russian bias is real.

Why did you nerf US CL radars? Stealth radar was bad for the game. But you're giving some of these ships almost a TWO KILOMETER buffer to stealth radar, and their guns are unacceptably accurate and fast. And these ships never existed!!!

Shove it, WG. You have lost your minds.

So many premiums...

I think several of these are just tests for various design ideas. They'll see which one works out the best, and go with it. I don't think we're going to see this many cruisers dropped in all at once.

And they have the USN special pen angles. Why sail a USN ship if you can take the Russia and includes torps. Where is the logic taking the USN special AP angles?

At this rate, WoWS will soon have as many Soviet ships as WoT has Soviet tanks.

Stealth radar by 2 kilometers in many cases on top of glorious HE and fastest shells in game... Rejoice fellow DD lovers, our time is reaching it's end...

Snuck in the inclusion of 3 more premium cruisers: Ochakov, Mikoyan and Bagration.

Total will be 18.

That's more than:

- All the Italian ships in the game

- 4x the number of premium RN cruisers (4)

- As many premium cruisers as the RN, KM, MN, RM and Commonwealth combined

- RN premiums of all 4 types (16)

Just lol.

Also these stats are broken and according to Reddit the 'worse accuracy at range' means 'better until 19km, then slightly worse' - a tragic issue on ships with 18km range...

Excited about these new ships, but not for the two month radarpocalypse that will follow their release.

So they get 'Murrican ricochet angles, British quick fuze, HE, and railgun ballistics all in one? Yeah that's not gonna be brainless to play at all.....

I hesitate to say overpowered until the numbers start coming in, but these things are gonna be utterly faceroll.

So best in class dispersion and shell velocity, great health pool and concealment, above average AA,  as well as stealth radar. Oh and improved pen angles,

Ba;lanced by? "Average" reload speed. (That actually looks slightly above average....)

 Radar almost equal or very close to their detection range. Tallin with a surface detection of 12.2 STOCK and a 12km Radar should be pretty fun to face.

what is this sht? insane stealth, improved pen angles, short fuse time, long range, fast shells, decent reload time, the ability of stealth radaring. like wtaf!? (edit: smoke shooting penalty is 8,7 km which is almost DM level. but this thing has 220 mm, DM 203 mm)

and ofc we also have a "light cruiser" with 19km range, 1000 m/s shell velocity and 6 sec reaload with the ability of stealth radaring! (edit: btw that thing has more hp than DM which is a HEAVY cruiser)

are you f.cking kidding us WG? yeah, definitely there is no russian bias at all. my .ss
