He is 79 and while his voice is off he acting chops are still there.

I find it better than the alternate universe Discovery. It isn't the best Trek but it is not the worst either.

The principle behind Discovery, Alex Kurtzman, is the same “creative” behind Picard.

Picard, like the Jar Jar Abrams movies, are all in the same “alternate universe” as Discovery, due to the f’ed up licensing agreement created by the Viacom/Paramount split.

Everything from TOS to Enterprise is kaput.
