Chronological List of Reviews by Date

These older reviews should be taken as snap-shots of the ships as they existed at the time they were published.  The meta and even the core mechanics of World of Warships has changed very significantly over time, so think of anything more than a 18 months old as a snapshot of how these ships played, once upon a time.

Reviews marked with an asterix (*) may or may not have broken graphic links that I'm in the process of verifying and repairing.

  • Full reviews added for Siliwangi (DD), Wukong (CA) & Bajie (BB).
  • Arpeggio of Blue Steel  Kongo (BB), Haruna (BB), Hiei (BB), Kirishima (BB), Takao (CA), Myoko (CA), Haguro (CA), Nachi (CA) and Ashigara (CA) are now available.
  • Bajie (BB), Wukong (CA), Siliwangi (DD), Southern Dragon (CA) and Eastern Dragon (CA) are now available.

Legend & Notes
Ship availability will be described with one of these colour-coded descriptions.  Here's what they mean:

  • PCEF003_EqualSpeed_SignalFlag.png  AVAILABLE - Provided you have the time or resources, you can own this ship right now.
  • 10px-Doubloons.png  Cash or Doubloons - You must spend either real-world money or premium currency (doubloons).
  • 15px-FXP_icon_67.png  Free Experience  - Purchased through the in-game tech tree for Free Experience.
  • 15px-Research_points_icon.png  Research Points - Purchased through resetting tech tree lines acquired through the Research Academy.
  • 15px-Rangium_25.png  Event Ship - Earned through completing various in game events, be they season events, challenges, missions, directives, etc.
  • 10px-Coal_icon.png  Coal - Available through the Armory for the Coal currency.
  • 10px-Steel_icon.png  Steel - Available through the Armory for the Steel currency.
  • PCEE012_SeasonFlag02.png  NOT AVAILABLE  - Ship is not currently being sold, likely because it has been temporarily removed from sale or the event to acquire her has ended.  Details provided when known.
  • PCEE145_Pigeon_Of_War.pngRARE COLLECTOR'S ITEM - Ship is no longer available through any of the above means.  It may still be found in the occasional Supercontainer or other RNG-based reward.  Typically these are ships that were produced under a crossover license such as with ARS NOVA: Arpeggio of Blue Steel and Azur Lane, but also includes ships that have been retired for performance issues and the occasional super-rare giveaway.
  • OUO0rAb.pngWORK IN PROGRESS - Ship is still in development and not yet released to the public.  Please note that any performance statistics of the ship are subject to change before release.

When the ship's name is a link, it will lead you to the full review of the given vessel.  Pay close attention to the date of the review.  Older reviews may contain information no longer relevant to the current meta.

Mouse is much better than Jane's for the ship types in the game, especially since the ships in the game might not be exactly as built, or not.
