Ideas for mouse button binding

Hi all, just looking for some input on what people bind to extra mouse buttons.

I have 2 extra buttons, plus MMB. I want to be careful what I put there, as about half the time I use it, I scroll the wheel a bit too.

I have a 4 button mouse, with the MMB/wheel as well.

Left click and right click I left at default. Wheel scroll will still do the zoom.

Extra left button under my thumb (right hand) selects HE shells

Extra right button that is near my ring finger will select AP shells

MMB will select torpedos.

With that layout I can maintain heads up and eyes on the battle, and still manage my weapons quickly and effectively.

I have the forward button Setup for "Select HE shells" and the Back button setup for "Select AP shells".  I also swapped right mouse button to "Toggle torpedo spread" and use the MMB for "Free Look".

The only change I have made is binding the Target Lock key 'x' to the thumb button on my mouse.

Makes selecting targets so much easier.

One thumb button is push to talk on discord.  The other is AA sector selection.

Upper mouse thumb button is to enable/disable AA, very useful if you play DD.

lower mouse thumb button is to toggle the lock on, which I use frequently to keep players from knowing I am targeting them until i fire.

middle mouse is to track shells but i might change that to priority AA sector.

Mine has three thumb buttons. The one closest to my normal thumb position I binded to "X" to manually lock on to targets. The other 2 are for ~ (AA sector) and Ctrl, which I hold to make the mouse point appear in battle.

whatever button that fixes the 270 degree camera fail whip around that still exists... I am all for.

one other poster said this, I think he was from a super high tier clan so it isn't my original words but he called it "vomit inducing"..... its like the Deerhunter, if I zoom in and out a few times which time is going to spin my view and guns 270 degrees and take me 5 seconds to recalibrate my existence....oh nice... I have been citadel'ed…...

I'm a lefty so most everything is bound to the 10 key, with arrow keys for movement.  One mouse button has "push to talk" and that be it.

Oh god, yes! Would be great if that could be fixed, it is so annoying!

Thanks guys. I think I'm going to try the target lock/AA sector combo, and see how that goes.

I usually play in semi-darkness, and I always have to look at the keyboard for those functions, because I'm not a proficient typist.

You can also get a keyboard with lit keys to help with that. :cap_hmm:
