Put together a quick guide which covers almost every stop.  Tips on what to do and how expensive it might be if you stay over night.

@NoZoupForYou watched the video,  had one bit of travel advice for the New Jersey to add based on my trip last year (and from living in the area). If you're driving in, might be better to stay in Mount Laurel/Moorestown  or Cherry Hill than Philly. Much cheaper rooms, free parking,  tons of restaurants,  and only about 10/15 minutes from the ship. Time wise,  it's about the same as pushing through city traffic and getting over the bridge.

Intrepid,  I booked a hotel by the Weehawken ferry terminal.

HMAS Vampire is an easy walk away from a wildlife park and aquarium where you can see all sorts of Australian creatures which either will or will not kill you (there are few in-betweens), and right next door to an extensive range of shops and eateries. Darling Harbour is a tourist trap, but a very well appointed one. Anyone looking for a meal or a drink (or a souvenir) either before or after their party, or who has the cash and wants to see some other uniquely Australian things, doesn't have far to go.

Sounds like a far cry from HMCS Haida, which literally sits in the middle of an industrial park.  Not much to see or do other than the ship itself.

Yeah,  from what I've seen they vary greatly in that sense.  Some, like Intrepid and Wisconsin are right in the middle of thier respective cities.  NJ,  not much in the immediate area,  but not far to stuff.

I'll do a full travel guide post for Wisconsin/Norfolk at some point soon

the original anchors away visit to the iowa was better setup than this previous one. had a tour guide and a cc for each group.  these new anchors away is pretty much a scavenger hunt with  like a half hour Q&A thrown in with a raffle at the end.
