Like NTC, the PR grind seems to have united the community against WG, again.  Question is, will tonight's patch ease the nightmare they've dropped unto the player base?  This is worse than NTC however since it's not in the theoretical stage --- it was dropped right onto the live server where it straight back-handed those who went to look at the directives.

So will the patch rectify this insanity, or are they going to double down on this nonsense and stick to the insult.  What say you?

The patch is to fix the disconnect problems.  It was a manual hot fix yesterday, they rolled it into a patch so everyone gets it.

They will double down.

I feel the man behind the curtain is sweating now but he has air conditioning.

Smart move:

"Ok, the PR grind is not in line with our previously shared vision to the players.  Let's change few things around to 'make it more accessible'."

Realistic move:

"The players dislike the PR grind.  Nothing we can do now, the update is already out anyway.  Let's fix the random disconnects for now."

Genius move:

"Let's adjust the points just a tad (base points) to unlock PR.  To show that 'we care'. But keep everything else the same. They will understand as before."

It's the connection hot fix from support yesterday.  You can tell by the .0.1 designation.   That's how WG (and much of the software world) designate hot fixes that need to go in before the next planned patch cycle.

Not sure one could equate how WG labels things against what traditional companies do.  We're not even at 1.x yet.....

Unfortunately (but fortunately otherwise) the patch addresses a known technical issue.

On the matter at hand, and given WG's history, we all know what the answer to doubling down is...

I respect WG for having the balls to overcharge peepz and keep doing it again and again. Nice business model. Mr. Von Wargamming must be rich.

Which is completely normal.  It's future proofing and many nomenclatures are structured in the same manner.

It avoids having strange versions like version 5242.0.1.0, on software that lives a very long life but is updated on frequent cycle.

There was a known issue yesterday in the patch with people getting dropped and not being able to reconnect.  Support acknowledged it, said they would fix it, but in the mean time provided a hot fix that you could manually apply yourself, if you were experiencing the problem.

Support also said they they would be rolling it out to everyone soon.  That's all this is, for now.

I think i already saw a bot on a game today, it was a myoko and it pushed giving little angles but kept pushing. This myoko had no camo and behave like the bots on coop.

Didnt know WG was a korean company, this seems like a p2w mmorpg now

Aloha,

As stated above, the patch for the below reason:

  • Fixed an issue that caused some players to be redirected to the login screen after the battle
