So... someone at WG lost their mind multiplied the directive requirements by 10 or they don't want you to complete it; because the directives are insane, the directive number 7 is super insane and someone did the math and to complete Puerto Rico freely you'll need to complete every directive within 12 hours because remember of the 32 days of the event you will have 17-4 days of per minute construction points gain and after that you will need to pay points or cash to complete it.....

so good luck?

Another event to ignore because WG makes these events too grindy. Its not worth it. Just like the benham i'll be ignoring this event too. Most likely playing other games after i shake my flakes off.

Don't worry.  All but a certainty Puerto Rico will be available for some exhorbitant amount of steel/coal/FXP at some point in the future.

I really want to know the number of people who get the Puerto Rico for free. I'm betting it's not going to be many.

Free, if you have zero (and I mean zero) life outside WOWS. I'd like the PR, but it's not worth giving up the holidays with my family for. I'd imagine most people are in the same boat. And since it's not Russian OP, I'm guessing there's going to be a distinct lack of incentive to pay for it.

All those botters we see in matches even though WG says their cheat software will catch and ban them :Smile_facepalm:

The thing that sucks is, you won't know really how close you are going to be able to get, and the boosters for doubloons need to be bought up front to get the greatest impact.  So if you come up just short, you may not really have any way of making it up because of how this is all set up (the fact that you get boosters and not actual progress that is - the boosters need time to work).

I'm just going to do what I can, when I can, and see what happens.

Actually there is a "finish it now" button for 35k dubs, that number will go down as time goes by, as you get closer to the end, you can if you need to, use it, IF the dub value is worth it to you.
this basically my plan.

Yes you most likely will have to pay - between $24 and $62 and play the game for 700 tokens to get PR by end Dec.

Going to play anyways to knock off snowflakes.

Lots better price for a T10 Super Cruiser than the estimated $130.

For me, $6 to finish out 7000 DB then 700 tokens.  Totally within reason.

Now finishing out the Gorizia directives 4-5 are another story.

I don't think even the bots will be able to grind this thing out without basically having access to every T8 ship in the game and basically being set to run in and die at the first opportunity.

To be honest, the real ftp rewards are gorizia, stuff you get from the realistic directives, free crates, and the loads of stuff from snowflakes. The latter directives are pretty nuts though if someone is trying to do it all ftp and has the necessary ships anyway.

Grind that much for an Alaska with 1 extra turret? No thanks

This is the only valid answer to this whole stupid execution Wargaming has done.

They will put it in the cash shop for $129 dollars after the event is over.

129 bucks isncheaper than ~300 it will cost in boosters.

i don't get it why WG want us to play this game non-stop, it's not like they are going to make money whenever we are playing, actually the more games we play the more they have to pay for server electricity and bandwidth, so why? they are better off let us play 1-2 games per day instead of 20 games per day, right?

The more games you play, the more consumables that you are likely to use.  The more players use, they more likely they are to buy something to replace them.

Also, in general, the more time a player spends playing the game, the more likely they are to spend money to get more reward for their time.

It's the same reason casinos have no clocks, no windows and comp you with food and drinks. The more time you spend inside the casino, the more money the stand to make.  The amount of money they can make from you if you leave the casino, is $0.

The game works in much the same way. Statistically, the longer a player plays, the more likely they are to spend money. This is almost as old as time. They still do it, because it works.

No one has done the math yet. Since we do not know what the base rate is yet.

This is part ofwhy I was so disappointed when we found out that the directives were time gated (don't unlock for 4 days, 8 days, etc).
