Post your favorite moments of comedic in-game or in-chat griefing!

My new favorite:

Yesterday in my second-to-last battle of ranked sprint, on the south side of Big Race in Domination. 2 BB / 2 CL/A / 2 DD. I am driving Fiji, and the other cruiser is an Algerie. The game goes like this:

00:20 - ALGERIE: "EFFING BBS HIDING BEHIND ISLANDS CAMPING!!!" (... because, you know, 20 seconds into the game?)

00:30 - One of our BBs said he looked at the stats, and the red team is full of potatoes.

03:00 - We get First Blood

04:00 - We are +2 on kills.

05:00 - ALGERIE: More chat griefing. Also sailing straight SSE to the bottom of the map.

08:00 - ALGERIE: Now sailing straight up along the 10 line. Still griefing.

10:00 - We have killed four of the enemy ships and now only a red New Orleans and Gniesenau remain, both at less than half health. Red Gniesenau is spotted, under fire, and on fire.

11:00 - I use global chat to request everyone report Algerie. Red team observers ask where he is, since the red team never detected him the entire match.

12:00 - We win having lost a single destroyer.

For the life of me, I will never understand people griefing... when they're winning.

They're not complaining about the match they're in (well they are kinda), it was the one before that got them triggered or several before

There are some who complain for the sake of complaining.  Doesn't matter what, they will find something to complain about it darn it.  :cap_horn::cap_book:

So long as you didn't tell the reds where he was at, even if you REALLY wanted to...  He would have deserved it, but....not worth the ban.

It's as Wowzery put it, some folks complain simply to complain. :Smile_facepalm:

I had a guy that used to work with me that all he ever did was complain. It was the only way he knew how to start a conversation, it seemed. I used to joke that he would complain if he won the lotto, "Great now I have to pay the taxes, my life sucks". I can hear it.

There just are those who can't help themselves but to complain. He could've also been having a run of bad matches and was just mind locked into that.

I was in a Tier 10 match on Loop (domination) and I was playing Smolensk.  We spawned north side.  For whatever reason, we had 3 DDs that went to the far east side and worked on C.  Not a tactic I'd suggest by any means, but the game was even shipwise and the enemy basically got A for free and B/C were contested for a bit and then we took B and C (we were UP 2 ships when we took both caps).

A Moskva is clicking the hell out of the map on the DDs, calling the entire team worthless, not doing much himself since he is too busy watching others.  Keep in mind that again, we are WINNING (both caps and ships), although we are not in the greatest position.

Feeling a little trolly, I said "You know we are winning?".  Admittedly the game was still in anyones hands but we were winning, and still in a position to hold them off - we are certainly not doomed.

He types back a few minutes later (after we have taken a couple losses but still in control - Moskva is now dead, 0 kills) "Who was it that said we were winning?  Need to block the right person."  Me:  "That was me, feel free to block me."  Which I assume he did (the game gives no way to know).  Negative karma too but not real concerned.

We won, though it came down to the 2 CVs duking it out but our caps won the day.

My biggest pet peeve is people who think the game is lost simply and exclusively because people aren't playing the game the way THEY believe it should be played.  These people won't let things like game score get in the way.

That is crazy, because I worked with a guy that was exactly like this, and he actually said at one point, that if he won a million dollars he couldn't retire (this was 10 years ago, when a million was retirement worthy).  His reasoning?  Wel, after he bought a 500,000 house and car, there would be nothing left over.....

This is also the guy that couldn't believe he got written up at work, because he installed Madden on his PC, and "sim'd" the upcoming Green Bay versus Minnesota NFL game like 30 times, to see who would win.  WHILE ON THE CLOCK...DOING NOTHING ELSE.

LOL...Its going around ----    My final match for ranked last night starts like this..  .  2 BBs per side  3 cruisers & 1 DD each team.   Immediately at start of counter timer friendly Colorado announces in team chat    "I'm just watching"  ??      Match starts and sure enough no movement from friendly Colorado.    1.5 min in It's still sitting there,  I ask in chat  "Colorado are you here?"   He announces in chat  "Yes"    I call out in chat to report for AFK.. He responded "I'm terrified"  and continues to sit?     Anyway...we get a good start and hit cap the 1st of the 2  caps and the other remains empty as we run into entire red team at 1st cap...  Our DD gets off a awesome torp strike and dev strikes a red BB and severely injures their DD in one salvo.. They turn and tuck tail heading other cap while we pick up the cap and begin chasing them across map towards other cap point.. Anyway we pick up all their remaining ships in the chase except one hiding Atlanta, which we have to ferret out of the islands.  All the while I notice the Colorado ambling off minding his own business into the empty cap we already have and parks there for remainder of match?    Who knows?   Apparently he was in match entire game..just chose not to participate for some reason?   We get win and don't lose a ship...go figure.   The later in ranked sprints it gets the more bizarre play and players you'll see.

I would say everyone knows someone like that (who complains all the time), your guy though................

That's tame compared to some of the things I've seen at work.  Worst are people who look at porn, at work, on a work computer, thinking no one will ever know.

<Shimakaze Player>: report Zao and Des Moines for hiding behind islands and not spotting.

Said Shimakaze was the farthest player back and hiding in his smoking firing at Max range. Of course it was our fault nobody had vision on the red team:Smile_facepalm:

I think this has something to do with it:

I find people who Complain are looking for acceptance.

Finding common ground in human society is easiest when pointing out the faults of others.

Especially in the GBs we see in this forum every day. God forbid you have an opinion.
