The other pictures on the wall are ship diagrams.  The one on the lower-left looks like some kind of waveform diagrams.  Did they plot those out to this extent back in the 30s/40s?  Seems like a reason they would put it in such a prominent placement.  Anyone know what that might be?

We have hydro acoustic search and radar in the game.  In that context, I would say that it is safe to assume that sound waves are well understood.

And what is the wooden ship on the loading screen?

Upon closer inspection, I checked out the diagram you inquired about in my own game client (the picture you uploaded is too blurry to make out).

It would appear it's not a diagram of "sound waves". Its a floor by floor diagram/blueprint of superstructure components or modules. I can make out what appears to be an AA battery in the diagram.

Totally an excuse to post Campbeltown. Hope this helps though, but yeah they're diagrams that match up with the rest of the cork-board.  Doesn't look like Graf Spee though.

Random related port question as well: What does the Lesta 2019 mean?

Was it a winner for some wooden ship contest for this year or something?

Lesta is the studio that develops World of Warships and 2019 is the year of the game's fourth anniversary.

Pretty sure it's Flint or Atlanta.

Yoshiblue is right - the wooden ship in the loading screen is Atlanta (as opposed to the Flint) - the Atlanta has "wing"" turrets, the Flint does not -

Lesta is the Company (subsidiary in this case) that actually makes World of Warships; supposedly Wargaming LTD has in the last few years taken a hands off approach (according to published statements at least) and has little to do with the day-to-day running and development of World of Warships. A sort-of similar relationship elsewhere in the industry could be described as say, Bioware and EA Games; EA games did not make Mass Effect 2, Bioware did, they just happened to be owned by EA games.

Of note, this is not the first Warship game made by Lesta; if you ever want a sneak peak into WHY World of Warships is the way it is, and somewhat discern what aspects come from Lesta and what parts were enforced by Wargaming, try to get a localized copy of Pacific Storm. It isn't a 'good game' in all frankness, but it is very interesting and gives a great amount of clues into the internal thought and methodologies employed by Lesta and yes, to a degree, where WoWs may end up going as it is clearly getting more and more like Pacific Storm.

Well ,being that the ship's name is at the top right as it would be in another port. It's a Des Moines.

My bad I thought you were referring to the screen shot that was being shown in the 3 posts above your post.
