Just noticed Guepard got hit with the nerf hammer in the latest update. Specifically the Engine Boost got whacked, shorter duration, longer cooldown. Stated reason was to make the progression more logical. (WG can be very selective when it decides to make things logical) Its not like he ship was over performing in the first place (several definitely OP ships were out there that got ignored). For a ship where EB was its primary (only?) ace-in-the-hole, will this change significantly affect the gameplay?

Ain't this just the understatement of the day!

Pretty sure it was the CV sniping French DDs have been doing early in battles and getting away with it easily that brought about those nerfs. Saw it happening in quite a few battles.

Hadn't managed to do it or see it done. Going after a CV in badly concealled, bad AA DD does not seem likely to end well most of the time. Other DDs seem a better choice. Intentional CV sniping is generally a emotionally fulfilling but bad for the team choice anyway.

Is WG that upset about anything that prevents the CVs from being the last ship floating on a team?

CV sniping may be more of a weekend thing, but then again so is playing CVs. Pretty much if there were CVs and French DDs in the same match I was seeing it happen.

The mid tier FR DDs suck bad and when you look at Guepard's server stats, it's not even doing well.  I saw the nerf in the patch notes and was wondering why this came to be.

There isn't even a single thread I've seen complaining about Guepard being OP when encountered.

Guepard was actually meh, not bad. I'm thinking these nerfs will move it down quite a bit however.

Really can't see anyone (except for a certified masochist) grinding the line up from T2 having 5 tiers of stinkers to get to an OK ship.
