Maintaining and working on the World of Warships Wiki is no small feat, but luckily the platform is supported by an amazing group of volunteers that support and work on keeping the platform up to date!

While anyone can submit changes to the Wiki, we are looking to bring on some more official volunteers to help prepare pages for upcoming content and revising sections of existing changes.

In joining as an official volunteer for the Wiki will also grant access to the Privateer program and its benefits.

UPDATE

The Wiki team and I would like to thank you all for your entries and interest in the Wiki Editor section of the privateers program.

Based on their writing style, and knowledge of material; the Wiki editors are pleased to invite the following players to join the program:

For those that did not make selections this time around, please keep an eye out for future application opportunities.

Interest piqued?

Things we're looking for in editors:

  • Being able to objectively write how to play a ship regardless of it's status in the meta (I.e. good or bad ships),
  • Bullet point pros and cons of a ship
  • Articles on ship design and history
  • Articles on national ship flavor/design philosophy
  • Ability to maintain individual ship pages

If you are interested in joining the program in an official capacity, please reply to this thread:

In at least 500 words or more, describe how to play one of the following ships: Warspite, Shokaku, Farragut, or Prinz Eugen. Please utilize an introductory paragraph of the ship, a few paragraphs to describe particular strengths, weaknesses, and special features of the ship, and then a closing paragraph to round out the description.

Stuck? Think of how the performance sections of the wiki pages are formatted. That'll give you an idea as to how you should build your entry.

From here, the current Wiki volunteers will assess responses and pick their favorites for WG consideration into the program.

You will have until 7am on Monday the 23rd to submit your response for consideration, selections will be announced soon after this date.

*Please note, this thread will be in feedback mode so only WG Staff and Wiki Editors can see replies.

Short listed candidates will be assessed for suitability for the program ensuring:

  • No major in game infringements
  • No major external game infringements
  • NDA requirements can be met.

    • Cool 21
    • Funny 2
    • Boring 2
    • Angry 1

    Heyo Captains,

    A quick update:

We are currently doing the appropriate checks on the selected applicants from the current Wiki Editors. When these come back; we will be reaching out to those selected and vetted individuals to invite them into the program.

We hope to have this completed by the end of the week.
