"PSA: National Camo for Graf Spee is not compatible with HSF Graf Spee

I purchased this camo today, I have the HSF Graf Spee and the new camo is not showing as a option. I have confirmed its in my inventory. Do I need to open a ticket and try and get my money back?

Sounds like it only works on the Graf Spee and not the HSF Graf Spee as they are separate ships. You might want to try a ticket first.

WG doesn't consider the Spee and the HSF Spee to be the same ship.

HSF Graf Spee and KMS Graf Spee are totally different ships. The only difference between the two is  HSF Graf Spee's camo I believe has an extra bonus to free XP. Any camos for KMS Graf Spee will not work on HSF Graf Spee, and vice versa.

Bought the wrong camo because my cat jump on my keyboard. 

Opened a ticket ASAP.

WG: no refund for bought camos.

I can see WG being fairly reasonably on this particular misstep because it is confusing & not obvious that WG makes a distinction between the 2 versions of the Spee.   I also can see them issuing a refund in doubloons, instead of reversing a payment charge.

This is turning into a long process. I do not think the tech support person understand their are two version of the Graf Spee. I've had to send screens shots that I have all the camo filters on, that the National camo is in my inventory, that it's not on camo tab for the HSF Graf Spree.

Yes it is the same situation with all the “ B” variants, ie Atago B, Tirpitz B, Massachusetts B. WG sees these as different ships from regular ones, even though the only difference is the black camo.

@Femennenly, can we get this post pinned for the duration of the camo's availability, please? Better still, ask WG to install a specific disclaimer in the text for this camo in the shop. 

Anyone who buys the full bundle will of course be getting the compatible version of the ship, so it's less important there.

Seriously though, it's pretty clear to me that you made a simple mistake and WG should either refund or otherwise compensate you because they didn't bother to make it clear to those that quickly skimmed through the description. You did try to do the right thing and it's not like you've 'used' the camo if you don't have the ship for it and that's their usual criteria for refunds. Come on WG, anyone can make a simple mistake, give the guy a break.

I'm not sure if it's worth to escalete this. When I had the problem with my camo, that guy sended me some fineprint from the EULA, that canos are not refundable.

Still, from the moral point of view, it's wrong and bad business.

To me the difference between the shop using "Admiral Graf Spee" in the camo description versus "HSF Admiral Graf Spee", which are the official titles of each ship, is ambiguous...it's like saying something works for a Ford Bronco versus a 1980 Ford Bronco...the former being a more general term to include all models and the latter being specific to one model.  I agree...if they don't want to refund his purchase, they just need to send him a plain "Admiral Graf Spee"...:cap_like:

Their policy is basically "your mistake, we have your money, now piss off."
