WoT-Radio.ru had an interview on one occasion with the game developers. The only way I could read it was by running it through Google Translate and deciphering the resulting Engrish. It's even more recent than the one linked in the original posts, as it referenced the 50×50 kilometer limit instead of the 60×60 estimate given above!

 

I am not certain how to go about looking for the WoT-Radio.ru interview, but most if not all of the information was translated into the Q&A on the WoWs Facebook page.

yea the precision added to the dmg system ingame will prove useful in some ways.like if lets say one one the front bulkheads gets breached im wondering if there will be a way to compensate for flooding given where the hit was.(front right/left compartment breach)

Very nice!  +1.  I'm surprised at the amount of information being released this early into the development...they must be further along than I thought.  This clarifies how the various classes work together...Carriers are basically arty, Battleships are the heavies, Cruisers are the mediums, and Destroyers are the scouts/arty killers (though, in this case, they may be Battleship-killers as well).  It looks basically like WOT with warships...me like :).

As anyone who went through the early development of WoT, the released version is always very different from the Alpha version.  So while all this speculation is fun, it is really irrelevant to the final product.
