I have wanted a use for credits for so long. This will be a great way to burn through my credit reserves and pick up some premiums I have wanted for a while!

Thanks WG, this is a great event!

2,100,00 for 1000 dubloons

Yep. It makes premium ships a bit overprice compared to tech tree ships but I'm not complaining!

EDIT: Nevermind, just poorly worded release notes I guess

So where does one convert Credits into Doubloons?

I'm not sure. I would guess armory?

I haven't had a chance to login yet since this hit though.

But.. if you buy 62,5000,000 for 100, you get 30k dubloons.  You actually net an extra 5k.

Having 480,000,000 credits, I could easily get like 100,000 doubloons and not worry about my credit stock too much. This is... interesting

Its poorly worded/translated, made more confusing by the line above it.

You don't buy doubloons with credits, you are buying credits with doubloons (confirmed in game) at a slightly higher rate.  No clue why ANYONE would do this.

Seconded.    While I see the dub to credits conversion, I'm not seeing it the other way around.

The graphic Ender posted does imply that it costs 2100 credits for 1 doubloon.  Not sure if it was a Russian translation issue (meaning we get 2100 credits for the cost of one doubloon), or if you can truly buy dubs for credits (and I'm just missing the spot where you can make that transaction).

It's the wrong way around.  You get 2100 credits for 1 doubloon.  The credits are on sale, not the doubloons.

That's what I thought too. Then my optimism took over, to be smacked down by a realism.

Does that mean you can sell port slots then?

They will never sell doubloons for credits.  Free XP?  maybe...maybe, but don't hold your breath.  Selling doubloons for anything earnable in game would cause a mass inflation of the number of botters/afkers running coop than we already have.

No.  I agree though that the wording between the two should be consistent.

I appreciate all the people here who take WG Translations literally.

Are you saying we shouldn't trust WG release notes?

Say it ain't so :cap_wander:

They would stand to lose too much money. They really need to get someone who is good with english and wording to write these things up. It's hilariously confusing and misleading in its wording.

Can't trust 'em in general not to mention release notes!
