Coordination if you actually now the other player but if it’s just random player at the start of the match?  Nothing, I thought in other WG titles it had a benefit to economic earnings but I don’t know.

A few things:

1.  Guaranteed to be on the SAME side in the SAME match.

2.  Friends/Clans with real-time comms (e.g., teamspeak) can coordinate/support.

3.  Common chat color.

4.  Different MM color.

5.  Spawn closer together.

Of the five, the first two are the most significant, especially if the players are all good.  A purple clan division is often a very powerful combo, and is one of the reasons divisions are limited to three players.  And if these good players are able to real-time coordinate their efforts, that is powerful.  Coordinate spotting.  Radar.  Hydro..Focus fire.  Maneuver.  Danger close torp shots.  Saturation torp shots.  Etc.

@Soshi_Sone pointed out very helpful benefits of going into Random matches in a division. In addition, if your clan has people who are interested in CB but do not have experience. It can be a valuable learning tool in learning the basics of coordinating as a team.

What's really fun is sync dropping with multiple divisions with your clan. Two words "Bragging rights" lol. You more so than not end up on opposite sides if you end up in the same match.

It is also excellent training for Clan Members preparing for Clan Battles as it acquaints each other with their play styles and gets the coordinating their play for the to come clan battles.

Regular divisions of 3 friends who work together on plans for using various ships on the different maps is bound to make a positive difference.

Only hardcore players would be willing to put in the time an effort to do so.

if you div with better players, you are guaranteeing better players on your team.     added focused firing and bit of team tactics, it can help your win rate.   now, if you div with 40% players you will  do worse  : :cap_haloween:

A 2-3 ship division of decent to great players working in conjunction with each other with voice comms is a nice improvement over the same quality of players with no coordination, no voice comms, and not divisioned with each other.

When you look up decent players in their game, they may division up with players as good or even better than they are.  You look up their 2 ship, 3 ship Division stats and compare them to their Solo stats.  99% of the time there's a marked increase in WR% with their Division play.

Personally:

(8000) Solo Random Battles:  55.15% WR

(974) 2-Ship Division:  59.96% WR

(880) 3-Ship Division:  65.23% WR

This also.  You roll in with your 2-3 Ship Division of decent to great players 50%, 55%, 60%+ WR players, that's a big deal.  Those other roster slots could have been filled with some dude with 43% WR guys.

To add, with a Division and voice comms, you can use ships to compliment each other.  There are MANY nasty Division Combos out there:

BB + Radar Cruiser + DD:  One of my favorite, all around combos.  DD for scouting, Radar Cruiser to help at the caps, DD could drop smoke so Radar Cruiser could creep closer, the Battleship around to keep other ships in the area honest, especially enemy Radar Cruisers.

USN Radar Cruisers + 1-2 DDs:  Think DM + 2 Gearings, Worcester + 2 DDs, Cleveland + 2 DDs working with each other for cap contesting and DD hunting.

Tier X CV + Conqueror + AA Cruiser:

Carrier: "Hey man, you see that AA Jean Bart over there?  Think you can soften him up for me?"

Conqueror:  "Got 'ya buddy!"

CV + DD:  The luxury of being a DD and having on call a buddy in a Carrier to come drop fighter consumables for you and / or scout the cap and attack, spot other DDs in the cap.

======

Coordination to supplement strengths and covering ship weaknesses with others' strengths, is what makes the ships stronger than what they are.

The coordination of focus fire attacks.

Calling out targets that just popped their DCP and merit focus fire.

The coordination of consumables usage.  Smoke & Radar to maximum effect.

======

Lastly, playing the game with a Division of friends can be fun.  It's comforting to know the quality of your teammates for certain, you got buddies that you can rely on.

Not only that, but if you're a BB, your support won't bail......at least not without telling you.......hopefully.:Smile_teethhappy:
