Never count out the Blys.  It is a solid addition to any destroyer line up.

I fell in love with this ship years ago and though it has changed..It is still a force to be reckoned with.

*Salute*

I never understand why people say she has been power creeped.  I'm guessing they dont have a 19 point captain in her as that is the only thing holding her back.  Even T9 MMing shes solid when you play her like a Russian.

When they took away the ability to stealth fire...That ability which was what this ship was sold exactly to do...They left the detection range alone and moved to different ships. Detection has dropped since then and this thing isn't much more than yes...another super light cruiser that takes a dd spot in the match.

If they dropped the detection is just gets nuts.  She cant really lose any more detection or you unbalance her against lesser gun boats.  If any buff was needed buff her rudder, its complete crap!

Or her Hp pool, or give her the option to use 4x2 100m high rof.

Or give her back owsf.

Problem is Blys HAS been power crept. And not just comparing to the best trait of each other DD line either.

Blys is primarily a gunboat, but is massively out-DPMed by the vast majority of DDs at her tier. Many of which got buffed in the last couple of years. Blys shells are higher velocity, which is nice, but that only plays a part in long range gunnery against other DDs. Against larger ships, the velocity difference is not that big a deal. And against DDs in close range engagements, that velocity difference matters much less given Blys turrets are slow.

Blys has torpedoes ... but a mere six torpedoes that are really slow and do only a so so amount of damage does not compare with pretty much all other DDs at her tier. Except for Minsk.

Her concealment is quite bad, comparable only to Leningrad and Sims, both which are stronger.

Her AA is pretty non-existent.

Blys needs help. Everyone has told WG this for quite some time. And when a huge mess of premiums got buffed a few months back, absolutely no one could understand why this ship didn't get some love as she was likely the one people were most asking for buffs for.

Does WG want her to be a gunboat? Then her ROF needs a buff.
Does WG want her to be more of a hybrid? Then her torps need to get buffed.
Does WG want her to be a DD stalker? Then her concealment needs to be buffed.

Right now, she's just kinda bad at everything. A true Jack Of No Trades.
